Sure! I'm still waiting for the official date so I can plan but carpooling is always a good idea. I'm not sure if we'd need a twelve-seater but I guess it depends on how many LOTR decides to bring.

Ok, I'm not definately in yet. It depends on a date and if my parents will allow me to go. We've also got a Plymouth Voyager that can seat 7 and a Cutless Ciera that seats 5.

Well it looks like transportation won't be too difficult. I just need to get my crew to Rochester and we'll work with it from there. As far as lodging and hospitality goes, I figure we can bring some tents and camp. Or if there's a Wal-Mart Supercenter nearby, we can also sleep there as I have resorted to before.

LOTR, There's 2 WallMart Supercenter's in town if the need arises. Take your pick, the one with the EB games next door, or the one with the gamestop next door. There's also many hotels in the area, not sure about intown camp sites though.

As for Date it'll most definately be either of the last 2 weeks in July. I may be gone in Louisiana on a mission trip the first week in July. 2n'd week of July might work as well.

And spring powered homemades WILL be allowed.

How would everyone want to pick teams? As long as ompa's on my team I'm good.

Last 2 weeks? Sounds good. As for the teaming, I would either like to pick straws or to have a shooting contest to pick captains so they can pick teams. I would really like to have 4+ team death match too.

We'll be able to get a few wars in, but I think we should stick with our clans to start out with. It'll give us a chance to see others playing styles before we divert. Smaller clans can team up with another clan, and if there are lone people, they can join a clan for the battle. After that's worked out, anything is fine here.

Those Wal-Marts sound pretty handy. If we get kicked out of one, we can go to the other. If all else fails, a deserted patch of turf will work for a tent. We'll have to check out the hotels before all this, of course.

Ok, so which week in July, excluding the first, works best for everyone?

Also, does anyone need stefans? I'll be able to sell some if anyone needs some micro stefans. I have guns people can use if you need some.

So would anyone be staying the night before? or After? Many Many hotels in the area. The war site isn't definate yet, so can't give too much advice on where to stay. Anyone coming the day before, could stop by my house for some practice before the main event. I'll just say your some kids from the neighborhood. Or we could kick it at the local Toys R Us.

Everyone ok with just team deathmatch mainly mixed in with 3-4 team deathmatches? Maybe throw in a pistols only round every now and then?

My vote is on the 3rd week in July. It'll probably be the least hectic around here, but if it ends up the 4th week, it would work out.

July is remarkably clear for me right now...looks like anything could work.

Yeah, so I guess you'll have to play the part of "that homeless guy we found wandering the street".

There are 2 hotels when you get into the main "city" part of davenport which might be a good place to stay. You have to turn right past a Menards to get there, so any last minute preparations will be easily taken care of. There are many other hotels throughout town, just take your pick. I'm not sure if there are any camp sites WITHIN town, but there are some 10-15 minutes outside of the city. Numerous hardware stores, hobby stores that sell brass, and a Toys R Us, so any needs can be taken care of.

Man I can't wait! It's still a few months away, but I'm excited! Any gun restrictions? Have a specific location picked out yet, like a wide open field or an enclosed park? Tall grass or no cover? Sorry if I'm pushing or asking too many questions too early... Anyway, here's a banner I cooked up:

I talked to Renegade a while ago, and it sounded like we would have a park setting for the war. I can't remember exact details from his description, but it sounded like it would be a fun place to duke it out.

As far as gun restrictions go, I don't recall much about that. I'd assume Titans won't be tolerated (for reasons obvious), but they wouldn't be all that practical anyways. Something was said about homemades though, and I'm pretty sure that will slide.

Regarding staying the night before or the night after, it depends on what the other MN'ers decide to do. If they're okay carpooling, then I'd just go with what works best for them. Otherwise, I really wouldn't be too excited about driving down there myself.

I can go with any weekend in July... again, just worried about carpooling here...

I vote if it's from 12:00-ish, we stay 'till dart and do a few night battles as well.

Any official date yet? I'm looking for a bus (just in case) to get there.

As of now, the official date is July 22, the third week of July.

The location I'm thinking about is a semi-secluded park inside the city. Has a small pavillion with tables, restrooms, water fountain(I think), jungle gym, small hills, and bunch of trees. I'm pretty sure I can reserve this spot for an occassion like a party so I'll do that to not show up to see some family reunion or the like. I have 2 back-up locations incase we want something different, or get kicked out.

Alright, we may have to move the date to the 23, on Sunday. Since I might have to work that Saturday. Probably start at 12 ish still. This okay with everyone? It's not final but will most likely be for sure.

Still mulling interest between my crew. I want to make sure I can bring enough guys to make it worth our trip. I shouldn't have too much trouble securing a couple days off of work then. It's still pretty much a rumor among my friends. I'm the only one who has seriously made the consideration. I'll continue mentioning it to make things final. I just really hope it works out for us.
