I have never banded any of my guns before but I plan to now. I was wondering if it was possible to band the gun on the interior. Is it possible? I just don't really like the look of all of the bands and stuff. Also where do you get those mini bungies?

It depends on the gun. Some (like DTBs) are easy to internally band; others (like NFs) aren't. If you want more power from a springer but don't want to band it, try a spring replacement. Just be sure to reinforce the parts if they seem like they might break.

I can get a 10-pack of those mini bungees at Lowe's for a few bucks. I'm not sure if it's all stores though or just my local one.

Ya I want to do it on my NF. I can't seem to find any springs that would fit, although I did find this one but it was too long can I cut the springs? My Lowes doesn't have any mini bungees. Are mini bungees better than bands?

At my lowe's they ahve spools of bungee cord in various diameters. you can buy it for something like 39 cents a foot. I just got 4 feet for my xbow if some mid-size bungee for about 2$ total, and it won't wear out and need replacing like bands.

When I used to use two chains of bands on my xbow, I ended up needing to replace them at the start of each war because they'd get so stretched out that they weren't as effective anymore. Performance is everything in my case.

So if you are committed to banding, etc., I'd suggest going with Bungees. They're a lot cheaper in the long run. With a whole clanful of Nite Finders, my xbow, a Tree bow, and a Manta ray to replace bands on, I've gone through a number of bags of 200+ bands...

Go with the bungees.

I understand your not liking the look of banded springers, but (other than guns like the 3B and the Dart Tag guns) internal banding is a nearly impossible feat. If it has an external handle that gets pulled back and stays there, and then flies forward upon firing, the banding is going to end up being external.

Good luck!

Ace Hardware is also a place to look. All Aces are independently owned, so I can't say if your local store will have them, but most can order you anything if you just ask.

You are aware that rubber band moding guns will make them brake before just normally moded gun would. That and if you use them in the cold you risk it breaking and hitting you. That’s happened to me and it doesn’t hurt that much but your ego takes a blow.

Always take your bands off of your blasters before you store them. Not only does this keep the bands from being stretched and weakening over time, it also takes the stress off your blaster.
