Hey, I know this sounds quite noobish, but where does everyone get their brass? I went to Home Depot, Lowes, Michael's, and another hobbie shop. I only found copper which is what I'm using now. I cannot find brass to save my life. HELP PLEASE!

K&S brass (preferred) is generally available at Ace Hardware and larger hobby shops. The kind of place you'd find RC airplanes and model railroad stuff. It's in a plastic counter-top display that holds a few dozen sizes of brass rod and tubing plus some misc aluminum parts. I'd call ahead because it's sort of hard to find and it'll save you some driving.
Steelworks brass (twice as thick, not machined as cleanly in my opinion) is available at Lowes and OSH. At Lowes it's generally towards the middle of the store near the small hardware parts and the key cutting area. At OSH it's generally towards the back near the springs (they have an excellent selection of useful springs as well) and the sheet metal.
If you're ever planning to be in the neighborhood of the 57 and 10 Fwy junction, I can give you one or two of my secret K&S locations. I've located 8 stores that carry it within 10 miles of my house.
