i have recently began to mod my nite finder, but in the process, i was putting it back together to make sure everything fit ok, everything does, but i am having a problem with the mechanism that releases the srping in the plunger to shoot the dart, i cannot get it to fit back in properly, thus making it almost impossible to put the trigger in, let alone, shoot the gun, i was wondering if there could be anyone who could give me a few tips?? it would be appreciated.

Pics would help, but i assume you mean that you can't fit the catch mechanism into the gun casing. Make sure it is not backwards or upsidedown.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Fortunately for you, I needed to take apart a spare Nitefinder to mod it anyways, so here are some pix of the unmodded internals. I got as close as I could without losing focus, hope these help you.

It looks fine to me? I'd just try experimenting with the parts inside till they fit.

*sigh* Those are pictures of an unmodded nitefinder, in it's completly stock form. The person who posted those pictures was NOT the original poster who needed help. He posted the stock internals to help that original poster.

I am having trouble with the thing right before the spring, I was trying to fit it in properly, but the spring flew away. What should I do because without it its not letting me put it back together.

If the spring from the catch mechanism flew away, you need a replacement. Try using a spring from a click pen.

Thanks for the help, I used a Pilot Pens spring and with enough work I held it in there until I could screw in the barrel. It works pretty nicely. Thanks Again, I reccomend this to other members.

Your main spring may be out of place. I couple of times I ran into this problem modding NFs. Just hold the main spring in the plunger tube and slip the plunger assembly in, then put the catch on.

WhenI was modding my Nite Finder, I ran in to the same problem. It only took me a couple minutes to fix though. If you make sure that (Before you rescrew the plunger and barrel) the bottom of the rectangle (that goes on the trigger) is in a place, you can pretty easly push the spring into place with a small screwdriver (or small stick, ect...). Once you get it in, I had no problem with it staying toghethar, but maybe I just got lucky. ;)
