I picked up one of the "flashy" new tech sixes. I tried it out and it's pretty good out of the box. I don't own an original so I can't compare. If anyone has any mods or comparisons for me, it would be apreciated. If there is already a topic like this, I'm sorry, but when I searched, all I got was mods for the original.

you can make it run off a 9 volt battery (do not lick a 9 volt) but it tears up your darts.

Huh? 9 volt battery? There's nothing electronic in this gun. If there is something you know to put a battery with a use in this gun, I'd like to hear about it.

I think he got it confused with the MECH 6.

If this new flashy one is in a green case, I know of a mod done by Death's Avatar. All he did was take off the turret, twist out the air restrictors and epoxy in some brass. He said this was a difficult process and I can vouch for that (I did this to my tek 10), as there are slits at the bottom of the barrel where the air leaks out unless the dart fits snugly over the peg. This mod is only difficult because you must plug the little vent where the air escapes. He used 3 inch lengths of 9/16 brass for the barrels and the gun gets an extra 5 feet of range. This is not a huge improvement, so you decide whether you want that extra 5 feet.
