Hi there, I have been browsing through this forum for about a month, and I love all the things I see, the creativity, guns, and all the nifty new mods.
So just recently, I have just modded a water gun laying around in the garage into a high powered nerf rifle.
It is a very basic and simple mod, but it takes a while. When you open this gun, you need to somehow cut apart the pump cap. So i opened the gun and basically, I first plugged up the pump, (basic moding rule) and then i cut off the tip of the gun's barrel. The barrel was a small cone, which makes it able to shoot thin streams of water. I cut that off.
Next, I epoxy glued a black marker to it, which fits my dart tag bullet perfectly. Now comes the part which takes for ever. As you can see on top of this gun, there is that green part, which i like to call the stablylizer. This stock stabylizer has a small little hole, about the size of a pencil, which fits the stock short barrel. So I creatively used a dremel and sanded it to the size to fit my barrel.
So after that i slip the "stabylizer" back on and put the gun back together.
Here is what the finished gun looks like:
gun without the barrel, note the "stabylizer"
my barrel and dart tag bullet, it fits so nicely :]

Yeah, here you go. I have done other mods too like the secret shot 2, but this is by far the best i have ever done.
Ranges: 100 ft @ 20 pumps
113 ft @ 25 pumps
Usually my pumps range from 20, 25, and 30 times. I have practiced many times using how many pumps and 20 pumps can get great distance with accuracy
So heres my mod, hope you guys like it!
P.S. how do you resize the pics? Mine may be too big.

Looks great! Now make a barrel that is of equal length and nest it with brass for stefan capability. You will see an even greater increase in range. Personally I think that 20 pumps is still a little on the high side to only get one shot off at 100 feet. I think this gun would have alot more worth if you had a barrel that was stefan modded.
I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

That sounds like a good idea, but I have always had a question about stefans:
are they better solid, or a long hole in the back?
thats always been my question. Also the "matchstick" stefans seem pretty cool, are they any good?

The way pump guns use stock darts is too perfect. The air released from the tank fills the hole in the middle so it expands to form a perfect seal around the dart and barrel. But because of the suction cup you have to modify the tip by cutting it of and replacing it with massive amounts of hot glue. This gives the dart a good head weight. With an Airtech 2000 I get about 100+ feet. So if you did like Forsaken Angel said, you could get mabye 150+ feet with darts that have holes. Mabye I should get a squirt gun...

If you wanted a gun that could shoot close to 100', you should have gotten an AT-2K. They get close to that range with stefans, and only take 4-5 pumps. Althought this gun does look pretty cool, super soakers are not practicle in a nerf war. Most shots take place at less than 60' anyway.

Thats true, but the good thing about this gun is the valve opening releases air through a hole just as big as a nerf gun, so you get that "blast" feeling. So it can well shoot a dart pretty dang far.
