Oh well, let them revel in there own stupidity, perhaps ignorance is bliss, for some. Me, I've always preferred the longer posts, as it allows the true "fleshing out" as it were, of an idea. True one can sometimes shorten a statement to a few sentences, but it does not often make as large an imprint on the reader, or feel as satisfying to the author as a well thought out and delivered idea.
EDIT:
Longer posts do tend to have spelling errors though. Though from an Administrators standpoint instituting a spel check into the posting program may seem like a good idea, it is only a hassle to the regular poster. However, it would be nice if someone offered a free program that was nothing more than a floating text box (Like notepad but without the toolbar). Where you could paste text in there and it would underline the mispelled word in red (Like word does) and offer corrections via a right click.

Right, the only time a long post is annoying is when it's coupled with horrible, nigh illegible grammar. But that's an entirely different issue.

Dude, let me rehash a notion I made clear to cxwq many months ago, back when that whole open nerf thing was first pitched to he and I, by andy.Let's hope than Andy's remake and his Open Nerf project hope to correct that, atleast in part.
Sure, that sounds great ...... in a minority president kinda' way.

Short version: Community driven content aimed at the advanced modder crowd.
The concept is intuitively pleasing to me. Hell, I love damn near anything that starts with ``open''.
The problem Vacc and I saw with this idea is that it relies on there being a significant number of people who are able and willing to contribute useful modding content. My personal experience is that the ratio of mod engineers to leeches is about 1:100. I don't like this but hey, that's the way it is.
So given that reality, we thought it made more sense to just get the creative people on a site designed to showcase their talent. Hence our standing offer... anyone who submits 5 original nuggets of nerf wisdom that are met with approval by the admins gets contributor status at NH. Comics? Mods? Homemades? Editorials? Bring it. But if it's a single paragraph and a grainy pic describing a mod of questionable utility, don't expect a reply. We're a tough crowd to please but I know our users appreciate the quality of our content.

To the defense of NC, some of the most intelligent debates I've ever seen have taken place on NC. Don't let a few rotten apples spoil the bunch.but then the posters of NC were never know for being the cream of the crop with some exceptions thank goodness.

Actually Andrew, when I typed that sentenced I remembered that you and David post there a great deal, or at least you used to. That made me remember a few others as well, so I added that, "with some exceptions thank goodness," part, I neglected to mention a number on purpose. As there are so many people at NC, certainly there are many a good decent poster. But I must admit that NC does seem to have a higher number of, lets just say negative posters. To the defense of NC, some of the most intelligent debates I've ever seen have taken place on NC. And though I don't play Nerfistan I do think it's a pretty innovative forum game...
