This is my first post, so bear with me. My at2k airtank was damaged. I was wondering if anybody new a way to fix it, or if new air tanks can be made. Sorry for the noobish questions.

Hey, it would be much more helpful if you were a little more specific. Could you explain where exactly the airtank is damaged? I might be able to help..

Sorry about that. The airtank of the at2k is a small chamber with a rubber layer inside. The rubber layer has a big hole in it.

Duct tape.... do I need to say anything else? I'm just kidding. Duct tape probably couldn't handle the pressure. Actually it might be able to so I'd try this first.

Thanks. I was thinking about a ballon, but I wasn't sure if that would provide the right type of pressure. Balloons expand a lot, but the at2k balloon could only handle 5 pumps. I was wondering if anyone thought PVC with a stopper at the end might work. If a solid could be used (instead of elastic) I might be able to enlarge the tank. What do you guys think?

Anything can be worked out with Nerf guns. What youre trying to achieve with the balloon is something that may take a couple tries, or even a week or 2...or 3. If you dont have it the price would be ridiculous because not many people want to take their gun apart and give you the most expoensive peice in their. Also, The pump, and the balloon are seperate so doing this might be hard. You can try toher things, or go for it.

Well, I broke mine, and just wondered if I should see if it was worth trying to fix. Somone offered me something for it (trivial matter), and I figured that if people here said it can't be done, I should accept. I might try some stuff before I give it away, so ideas are welcome

I was being stupid and it exploded. It has some kind of leak, so I pumped it 5 times, then waited. Then tried again. My ears ring with my own idoicy. Should I post pics?

Do you mean the round rubber thing that connects the orange piece to the orange tube with the goo in it? If it's just that thing fill it up with as much Plumber's Goop as possible and see if that works.

If you mean within the actual white airtank, I have no idea what you're talking about, there's no bladder in there.

No, what I thought is he meant the actual thing, if its a leak, with work it can be fixed int ime, if it blew upo on ya youre going to need a replacement, or to just have the time.

From the sound of things, you can clearly identify a gaping hole in your air system. And you say it's in the tank. I think it sounds more like the tubing. You need to make an airtight seal on the system. I would suggest Plumber's/Crafter's Goop. You can find that at a local hardware store, or even Wal-Mart. Search the plumbing section (obviously) and it's equally as obvious as to where Crafter's may be found. Apply it to your hole and fill as needed. It will take around 24 hours to dry. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. You can identify a leak by placing the system under water and pumping. Air bubbles will issue from the source. This is where you need to re-apply your goop. The final touch is optional: a layer of electrical tape will help keep your pump system stable.
