Today I went to Lowe's to get some brass and i came across something. It was a foot long air tank that looked like a small Copperhead co2 tank yet much bigger. I had to refrain myself from jumping up and down and screaming like a little girl. I don't know if there's potential in it but if it could work we could be talking darts goin 200 feet or more. The tank had a 1/2inch diameter but it broadened to about a 3/4inch diameter and was brass. Please tell me that these have not been tested and failed.

Torpedo shaped, right? Sounds like a stub end, or water hammer arrester. Whatever you call it. I used to use them as ammo. They're copper by the way. It seems kinda cool, but you need copper soldering skills, and a torch. Nothing huge, but it's not really worth the hassle when you could make a similar tank with PVC for the same price. I don't really see what makes this so special.

Tank material makes no difference if the same pressures are used. Hence metals are used if pressures exceed that of the same limit of PVC for extended times. If you want darts to go over 200 ft., this can be done with PVC. Actually, I might have to try a gun designed to launch a 3/8" Stefan a really long way for technology demonstration and to prove my point more easily. Gimme a week or two though.
