you can make it like the Supermaxx 1000, glue a ring of 6 pieces of 1/2" pvc and put that right behind the barrell.

Would you use foam craft sheet to make it air-tight?

Foam craft sheet MIGHT make it airtight...

The hardest part would be to make a decent seal, and make it so you dont have to pull it out to turn, good luck!

I'll revive this topic a bit, and give you my thoughts (s'not THAT old!)

I've tried making revolvers, sniperx (I think that was him) supposedly came close, or finished, can't remember, and he did it the way all revolvers are made. With ratcheting turning systems.. youuuu knowww. So anyways. I never saw the plans, nor did anyone else, but ratcheting turning systems are your best chance for automatic rotation. Well.. rotation with the trigger motion, I'm pretty sure there's a diagram on howstuffworks.com in revolvers that shows how this works. Might be able to bodge that up (bodge..)

As for the seal, that's a bit trickier if you want automatic rotation. You could have it spring loaded, and go in when the trigger is in to a point, then shoot back out, with way of a catch.. but that's really, bit complicated, unless you're actually motivated  . There are other ways, this one comes to mind first. Oh, and use internal coupings if you're going to do it this way (like, brass-cpvc barrel makes the seal.)
And if you want an extra barrel.. like revolvers, well.. that can't be too hard. Just remember to bevel the inside edges so the dart goes in easy.

I had actually thought about this before, and I came up with a few ideas. The chamber would have six barrels, and they would be made of PETG. The airtank would be in the handle of the gun, and the pump would be a bit under the main barrel, OR have it as the hammer. The main barrel of the gun would be a tube of PETG or brass. You would of course have to rig up an auto rotate system of teeny tiny parts, but, you COULD do it. Now, when you pull the trigger, it opens up the valve and lets out the air. When you move the trigger back (well it does that by itself of course), the stub of the airtank slides back OR the six barrels shift forward, and the barrels rotate. Then the airtank stub resets OR the stubs move back. Then you pump up, and, next shot. You could customize the barrel length too, say, you could make it snub nosed. The tank and pump would probably be made from modified SSPB parts.

The end.

This is a lil on and off topic but, I have seen this pvc piece that goes from 2 inch pvc into five port where you can put 5 count them 5 piece of pvc or in the the nerf case barrels. I will have to take a picture of this piece at work since they wont let me take it home. Ill get on it asap because it is a werid looking piece.
