The idea is to make the bolt double as a trigger by attaching it with a cable to the plunger which works the semiauto valve. The valve plunger system would be like Dr. Nerf's:

The main air tank is not shown, I was thinking of using regulated CO2 but I don't know if there's a easy cost effective way to do this.

btw, does anyone know where I can get PVC part files for solid works, I'll try asking bolt loser?

Dude thats fucking sweet.

Out of curiosity though why do you have three sets of O-rings?
Also it will be more accurate (i think) if you actually put a trugger as you wont have to pull back that bulky looking thing.
Anyway goodluck and looking forward to seeing end result.

You need three for a semi auto valve. The one closest to the front of the gun (firthest right on the diagram) plugs the hole to the barrel, the middle one moves in and out to allow the PC to refill, and the last one keeps the air from escaping the air reservoir.

That's a nice design. The orings will have to be placed in EXACTLY the right spot to fire when A, the clip is all the way back, and B, when the middle oring is in the smaller pipe.

I assume that the wire looking thing is connected somewhere along the valve, and when you pull the handle back in pulls the piston forward (towards the front of the gun). You will need some kind of spring inside the valve to keep it closed unless you have a very complicated lever system inside the pipe next to the trigger.

Very nice looking. I see someone else uses SolidWorks besides me. Is it going to be true semi-auto, as in an auto loading mechansim for the darts or does it mean no charging betoween shots? Are you going to be using shells or a clip like Ompa's?

What do you mean by PVC part files? I have compiled a list of ID's and OD's for a variety of tubing including PVC which you can use to just draw the pipe. If you want I can send you some of the files I have for some PVC. I`m using 2006 so if you are using an older version you will not be able to open them.

I believe it fires with each pull of the handle on the side.

So there would be a cable attached to the bolt, the plunger would get pulled by the cable which could use two pulleys inside the PCV or maybe just let it slide in the PVC that's lined with metal and greesed. My reasoning is that the pressure from the main tank would force the plunger back to the starting position keeping the cable taunt at all times.

I was planning on using a clip system like ompa's but with some suttle improvements and making it double file.

BoltSniper is deffinetly not a loser(BTW there is a word censor for the word s-n-i-p-e-r so you have to write BoltSniper as one word)Not be be an admin but this has happened to me more than once.

"Any ship can be a minesweeper... once."

"Don't run, you'll only die tired."

Nope. Sorry, that's not guna work. The air will be between two orings on the shaft, so it wont be pushed back in. Now that I think about it, How is your PC supposed to refill? The plunger is... faulty... to say the least.

I guess I would just have to put a spring to the left of the plunger.

That's one problem. The one I was talking about is how it will refill. The intake tube is in the wrong place. The only solution I see is to move the air intake, or add another oring (I have a picture in my head, but I can't really explain it. If I were you, I'd move the handle more towards the front (where the intake is) and move the intake back. That would solve your problem.

No offenses to any conceptionist, but what's with the sudden urge to make bullpups? I've been seeing lots of designs like this and was wondering, why?

Nice design by the way, but the wooden parts look too finished for me taste.

Compact design, looks cool, and they gotta beat Bolt to it, ya know.

I don't really see the appeal in it. Nerf homemades are going to be big if they are semi auto.

The air intake from the main supply is in between the left and middle O-rings. When the middle O-ring is in the camber it's not blocking any air and the chamber fills.

I got the inspiration from Dr. Nerf's design. I figured bull-puping it would about cut the length in half. I like the bull-pup design because it reduces your length signifficantly.

That's not what it looks like. Could you perhaps draw some internals?

Again, where the main tank comes in and attaches isn't shown yet, it would be like Dr. Nerf's though. I was thinking have some vinyl tube come in the side of the PVC, it shouldn't need a great flow rate.
