I personally have not yet had the chance to purchase or even try out any of Nerf's latest line of "blasters", but what I have heard shows promise, which got me to thinking. Ever since Nerf released their new logo a few years back, a gesture that usually means nothing more than a new marketing campaign, they have really turned over a new leaf, makeing the most complicated and effective (out of box or modded) guns in their history. From what I'm told this new line is no different, and I just wander what you people think about that? I'm not interested in if you think nerf is dieing or not so save it. I just want to know if you can see yourself nerfing with these new weapons and the lines to come for a good long time. Is there really any reason to look back?

I've been almost without Nerf till this came around. I haven't Nerfed in probably six months, or more. Hopefully this will rekindle the dead area of nerf left in NO's wake.

*sigh of relief*
It's good to be back. I picked up an AT3k during the summer. It's a pretty good gun. Unmodded, it kicks the shit out of anything as an indoor gun. With red micros, I get about 50 feet from it. If the mods are worked out, this gun has a lot of potential.

I haven't purchased a new gun in a long time (AirTech or otherwise), but from what I've been able to get my hands on, through the LCM, I can honestly say that Nerf is trying to do something new and cool. The guns are now as much about looking cool, even if they are children's toys, as they are about being pretty good out of the box. And from what I've heard, the guns are nice and moddable. One of my LCM friends, has a pretty nice single barrel modded AT2K. Worked like a dream until it broke not too long ago. But I think that was more his mistake than Nerf's fault. So yea, who knows, Nerf might be attempting to rekindle the foam fire, the empire that once was Nerf.

Hehe... Foam Fire... Mmm... Liquid fire...

I think they're working off old designs, but it's definitely a revisit to the Supermaxx age. Look on the bright side; They're not animal forms, and they don't run off of batteries.

Hehe... You guys a "wub" smilie... Silly.

I'd have to agree that they are going in the right direction. I recently was able to check out a AT2k, and the mod potential for that gun is huge. Although the guns are essentially a rehashing of the supermaxx line, it is much better than a rehashing of certain other lines. And the air pressure gauge is damn cool. :D

As for the future, I really think that their technical abilities would allow them to make some other good semi-automatic guns, like a 10 shot (best kind, IMO), or maybe make a more successful clip gun (the powerclip was damn good after removing the stupid little restrictors).

I really like the AT2K, I am currently working on intergrating some into my x-bow shell, seeing as my x-bow is dead. Anyway, my experience with the new line is that It is for the most part a great addition to nerfing, and I encorage people to experiment with them, becuase they are what will have to replace some of our aging guns at some point in the future. As much as we may love our old guns, they will break, and these will have to replace them, or we will be without guns.

Pfff. When they die, you remake their parts... A bit hard sometimes, but it's a fun challenge.

I really like the AT2k. The sm1500-in-a-sm750-form-factor is a very cool design and seems to at least equal the design and functionality of the SM line. I haven't personally used the other new ones but the other SM-derived guns seem to be similarly improved in an evolutionary if not revolutionary way.

Nerf upheld the tradition of one totally moronic and gimicky gun per new set with the Jet Squadron but hey, if they were all good we'd forget how lousy it could be.

I personally like the 4k, not for range or accuracy, but the load of 12 isn't bad, and it's only 3 pumps per shot. I've heard that they are pretty good when moddified too.

The AT line makes up a large part of NEO Faction's arsenal and so far we have a brass, 4 barrel AT2000 and a CPVC, 4 barrel AT2000. Both of them are very powerful and get very nice range. My friend used blueprints of his property as guidelines and estimated that the CPVC AT2K shoots 90 feet and the brass one shoots 75. They are just estimates based on the blueprints of his house, but they still vouch for the effectiveness of the AT2000s.

Three members of the NEO Faction (Myself, ManaKnight, and Diablo) are currently modifying our AT3000s so we will let you know how that goes very soon.

Like others have said the 2000 is a decent gun. The 3000 I haven't tried at all but heard good and bad stuff about it. The 4000 I don't like at all, I think the range is not good. The 1000 I think is a remake or similar to the 250/350. I have not modded any of the guns yet so i don't know about them modded.

Actually, I think the AT4k is rather accurate. If you replace the original barrels with crayolas, you can get about 60 to 70 feet flat.

Yes, but I was speaking from the unmoddified version. However with barrel replacements it's good.

not to sound of the loop or anything, but are these guns up on a website any where. The lack of walmarts in the burg leaves me wondering what these new guns look/ act like.
