Well almost Everyone thinks the crossbow is a great gun. I don't own one but after seeing some writeups they don't look too easy to mod but definitly possible. If you have the money I would recomend it. yes they will be worth more in the future unless a new gun like it, is released.

Yes I think it is a very good gun once modded. The only thing is that it isn't very easy to mod. For right now my advice would be to buy one of them because of the Longshot CS-9 is coming and would wait to see how that is first and if you don't like it then just buy more.

Hi, I bought two crossbows on ebay from that exact seller your are thinking of buying from. Just so you know, you can trust him, because when I bought my two crossbows from that seller, they were good as new, box in good shape, and no damage to anything.

About the crossbows, I currently own 5 of them. There is a reason I have so many....I love them! They are easy to mod, but of course this depends on the mod you do. I have a different mod on three of my five guns. They are actually fun to mod, and the results are impressive. I would definitely recommend buying one, as you can easily mod them to 100' in one day. They may be a bit pricey, but believe me, it's worth it!

A GREAT mod on the BBB would get you 80 feet.
A GREAT mod on a crossbow you get you 110 ish feet.

Yes there is a difference in range but there is also a difference in price too! I think BBB s are awesome guns but not quite crossbows.

The BBB is extremely easy to mod, but you can't get results that come close to a modded crossbow.

And don't Double post, use the edit button.

sm5ks are cheaper and better than crossbows. They are a littel harder to mod and you cant use them in some wars. But they get a littel better range.

Paying 60 bucks for a nerf gun is stupid. If you live in or near a big city go to all the goodwills and other thrift shops once a week you will find some great stuff mabey even an xbow. Guns at thrift shops are normally 1-3 dollers.

I currently own 3 crossbows (1 coupler modded w/a integrated sm1.5, 1 partialally modded, and 1 nib) I have bought two of them from that seller and have been completely satisfied with what I recieved. Crossbows are very easy to mod think of them as enlarged nitefinders. I think they are one of the most comfortable guns to hold and they provide some nice room for integrations. I bought mine a while ago for about 50 a piece. but I still think 60 is pretty fair. The seller sometimes lists them up for bid and they usually start at 29.99 so you might be able to save a couple bucks.
Hope this helped.

If I remember correctly it was $15 new when I bought it back in 1992.

Someone would have to offer me over $200 to get me to release my crossbow. Even then, they'd still have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

In short, it was a good investment. I bought from that lady too. She just keeps getting more...

Well, I think that's a better analogy than many of us can come up with. Perhaps it's more like a bunch of Mexicans trying to jump the border in an attempt to make it to LA for a Nerf war. Only one question sums it up: why?

The Crossbow is sweet, but is not worth $60.00 to buy. Go spend it on something else: music, women, grass, the fun stuff. I know I envied Crossbow-bearing people for the longest time; I still do. But I've found the BBB and AT2k and other newer guns that kick just as much, if not more ass. The point of it is that I can have fun running around with guns that don't cost a fortune. Was it really worth buying 2?

No.

Lord of The Rings, everything you say is true and I agree with most of it. But I disagree on some things. This is just my point of view. Any gun that you fall in love with or envy is worth buying regardless of the price, (unless it is a drasticly high price.) Thats why I bought my crossbow, knowing that there were other guns that can perform as good or better (arguable). But I bought the gun because I liked it so much.

But on the other hand, munson I don't think that it is a good idea to buy a crossbow for an investment, if you just want to let it rot for ten years. If I was you, I would mod one, and keep the other one NIB, incase anything happens to the one you modded.

But ultimatley I think if you like the crossbow as much as an at2k, or BBB, or have no prefrence, then you got ripped off.

Edit: Why is this discussion in the mods section? Did I miss something?

Dude... that's quite possibly the oddest analogy I've ever heard... so anyway, sig'd.

Oh, and I'm pretty much of the thought that it's a good gun, but I'd much rather use something a bit cheaper, even if it isn't quite as good; when people see a Treebow aimed at them, they duck, even though they aren't the most accurate of all guns. I'd probably just invest in one of them instead of a xbow, but it's up to you.
