Hey my maverick was stock, shot fine. I took it apart took out air restrictors, and put it together. It doesnt work at all now. Why do you guys think its losing all air pressure? I have taken it apart to fix it 3 times now.

You need the orange air restrictor rings for it to work. Cut off the barrel post and sand down the nubs on the inside of the ring. Keep the rings and put them back they help keep an air seal.

I removed the air restrictors in mine also, and it went kaput. I did everything by the book and tried many things to get it to work. I think it doesn't work due to the plunger/barrel not functioning together properly. The end of the plunger where the air comes out, rubs on the rotating barrels, thus not allowing it to rotate. If I force te barrel to rotate by hand it shoots worse than stock. The maverick seems to have intricate internals that can be upset relatively easily. I may try to mod another one, but I don't think its totally necessary as I use it as an indoor gun, and its stock range of about 25 feet is sufficient for indoor use, IMO.

Guess i'll just buy another maverick and do it again. Hmm I might try the nitefinder+ mav thing. I also did a CPVC mod with it, new barrels. That maverick couldnt get a stephan out if its life depended on it. Thanks People.

If you guys cannot do a basic Maverick mod I can tell you right now that you are not ready for a Mav+NF mod.

Stefans never worked well out of my modded maverick. Stick with stock or asshole darts.

Make sure that when you reassemble that the end of plunger tube is secured, otherwise when you cock it, it will be drawn back with the plunger and you won't get a seal at all on the barrels. This may be what is happening to you. But is you threw out the bases for the air restrictors you should be able to fix that by sealing the barrels with hot glue.

Hey. I just have bad luck with mavericks. I have modded 3 NFs a tech target a SuperMaxx3000 and a Lock-n-Load and they came out ok. Until i broke my LnL. OK fine so i havnt modded much.
