Ok I don't build home mades but I really like Carbon's work. Looking at his second SNAP he mentioned that it was on the longish side, so I think I have a way to shorten it, by placing the side action above the plunger and cocking it using a series of pullys and light metal cable.

Here is my rough MS paint conceptualization I hope it makes sense.
