I did not see anything posted yet about the new nerf crossfire pistol. I believe this gun will outclass the nitefinder by a lot once modified and it looks awesome. I would have modified it by now, but I stripped 2 screws and need help. Anyone have a good technique for removing these.

First, I'd try to sand down the tip of a phillips screwdriver so that it will fit the widened screw. If the screw(s) are too warped, you may need to use a drill and drill through them. As long as you get one of the screws out, you can usually pry open the gun and break the screw/small piece that holds it in. And still be able to open and close your gun afterwards.

Another thing that has helped me was, when I striped screws, just take a drill with a bit thats just smaller than the striped screw. Then set the screwdriver in backwards mode(This differs from driver to driver). Push down as hard as you can with out breaking the bit, then start screwing, the bit should catch on the screw and take it out for you.

You're kidding, right? This was on the front page.

I'm not sure if you posted without really searching, or in your enthusiasm to be first to mod, you overlooked it, but yeah, Hammer was the first to post a basic mod. And yes, even stock, the Crossfire surprised me how well it performs with the included Dart Tag darts. This is no Scout. More in the neighborhood of Nite Finder.

Good luck with your mod!

When I modded mine I too had 2 stripped screws. I ended up just hacksawing through them beacause they weren't be anything important.
