Would it be possible to make a single barrel maverick that would improve its shot distance? I figure if you give it one barrel that gap between the orange "blowy thing" and the yellow "spinny thing" would be eliminated. I only used wierd words because i forgot what they were called.

The purpose of the Mav isn't range or accuracy, it's purely aesthetics. It's got a tiny air chamber, and the multi-shot thing does lose it power, but if you were to single-barrel it all you'd have is a big, ugly scout. I wouldn't waste the money single-shotting a mav.

... unless you've got a broken mav or something. My mav's cocking pin bent and eventually fell out, so that might be a candidate for something...

No, not the scout, then you have a tiny air chamber and a weak spring and only a single shot. The Mav. is better than the Scout. If you want single fire, do get a Nightfinder, Do get a TTG (if you can find one). Heck even a secret strike pocket blaster packs more punch than the Scout.The purpose of a maverick is its ROF. I have a modded mav. Still haven't made any darts for it. I started but then my foam got thrown out. Im going to normal Stefans today and maybe try a few of matchstick's matchsticks.

Would it be possible to replace the Maverick's weak plunger and air chamber with the Nite Finder's better one?
