I am gonning to soon get a 4000 and I realize there have been many topics before about this I know I looked but none really sepecify a Barrel length. So I am wondering how long to make the PETG barrels where as it can still rotate freely but have the length to get good distances. So what length should I use?

petg is probably your best bet if your looking towards how heavy or light you want your gun to be. I would just use cpvc though, it'll save you a few bucks and probably give you the same amount of range.

Yes, like i posted on NHQ, 5'-6' inches will probably work best.

No its not the gun being to heavy but if the barrels are too heavy then the rotator will not work.

PILZ, A member of my clan uses a Petg w/nested brass one and his rotates just fine. It's freaking heavy, but the rotator works like it should. The barrels are 6 inches.

The pic's a little blurry, but you can make out the Petg/Brass barrels on his 4k:

I would take an obvious guess and say that the PETG is 6", while the brass is ~2".

How many clips are on that Sawtooth? I've never seen clips for that gun linked up before.

The PETG is 6 inches, with 3 inches of 9/16 brass nested inside of that, and nested inside the 9/16 is 2.5 inches of 17/32 brass, They're just Glued-in UBS barrels. We've never done conclusive range tests, but from what i can tell it's around 60 feet.

The Sawtooth Has a 15-shot clip made from 3 standard sawtooth clips, it seems to have trouble with the clip being heavy after about the 10th or 11th shot though.

Hmmmm, the AT4K mod would be good for your site Baghead, at least i would use it. Maybe even for my 3K......wich has yet to be modded.
You should find out from the guy in your clan what he did, then put it on your site.

Back on topic, yea the barrels will most likely rotate fine, its just the gun itself will be heavy.

I did it, no one in my clan mods guns besides me... I haven't updated my site because I was working on a new one, but I can't find the archive of it and it's not complete. But With my new computer I should get the new thing up, eventualy...

all I was trying to say is the 4k Is one Tough Cookie and It can Handle the weight.

w007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway...regarding the range estimates. Good guess on the 60' bags. But it's a bit better than that. I remember in the last round at WC-1 when Pilz was on my team, standing in the gulley on the side of the park, and firing my NF at someone. He shot too, and the 4k, though it did land short of the NF's dart (which goes a consistent 75' at a slight angle right about now) was barely short of it. My estimate says it was pushing 70'. Props to you on that one.
