I was reading about NES PC mods, where you take the shell of an old NES and assemble a PC inside of it, complete with the DVD-ROM drive coming out of the game slot. Then, I stumbled upon these plans for modifying a Nintendo Light Zapper into a Lock 'n Load. I think it would have been better if he threw all the wires and such into the LnL, but that would have been kind of a waste. Anyhow, here's the link, tell me what you think of it. http://www.nesplayer...ical/zapper.htm

Yeah, I saw that before. Weird, but funny, and gives the ol' NES a bit of much needed pizzaz.

So it was YOU who posted that. I remembered seeing that last year... I missed it.

Yeah, that's actually the reason that I was searching Google for "Nerf + Nintendo Zapper"... I have picked up a few extra Light Guns at Garage sales and I was wondering if anyone had tried modding them to shoot Nerf darts yet.

I would like to figure out how to get it to work, though I don't have very lofty goals for the functionality of the gun, since it will be mostly for show. But I do intend to keep the exterior of the shell as unaltered as possible, since that is the aspiration for all of these types of modifications. If any of you have one of these Zappers sitting around the house, pop them open and let's brainstorm. What gun would be suitable to be housed by this shell?

I think Hersh (one man clan) is the only Nerfer to do it. He LOVES his NES.. So much, that he's decided that when he dies, he'll have it buried along with him.

I think that the Lnl may be the gun here. It has to be thin, and fit more or less. I dunno. I don't have a Nintendo any more. If someone did it, it would be really fwiggin awesome.
