Not 100% sure what you's fella's stance is on asking for Mods... but, I'm dry on ideas. What's a simple way to make that incredibly tiny and slippery pump handle a little bit better for big mitts?

I got busted for this one a while ago.... "we don't do mod requests" is what Cxwq said to me I believe... just try some way yourself, take pictures and make a writeup. Just try it, it's not like 3k's are rare or anything. And there isn't much you can break by working on a pump handle.

How so? The post he made was at least constructive, in a way.

This would be kind of extreme, but it's a solid idea. Take a piece of 1/2" sch. 40 PVC and make a hole in the handle to support it. Then, dremel through the case so that the PVC can slide along with the original handle. The PVC would probably go into the case about 1/2-1/4", just enough to give it more support. This would be unreversible, though.
Hopefully you get what I'm getting at.

An alternate idea would to be to take pvc with an ID approximately the width of the pump handle, cut to appropriate lengths, and just epoxy it onto the original pump handle. Then coat with whatever material you feel to posess the most grip, and you're good to go. I have not done it personally, but I'd bet it work.

Doing this, but with wide vinyl tubing... going to go look for something for a grip, suggestions welcome.

well ive only been here a day and ive noticed that its not so much hostile, we just dont understand the forum, its not really made for chatting, its for getting the aswers you need. but there are multiple mods for this already... but yea, you can always extend it with some pvc and duct tape

No there aren't. Feel free to point to one, I searched fully.

Duct tape is slippery as hell too...

Athletic tape or electrical tape for a simple way. Plasti-dip or Tool Dip to make a real grip. I've seen black athletic tape at times.

You could also go for a tennis racket grip wrap, or golf club handle wrap.

I can vouch for that rubber paint-like stuff that's out there. Of course, vinyl tubing isn't THAT slippery, but coating it with the rubber stuff might help.

Thank you, fella's. I ended up putting athletic tape over it, and then covered that in this stuff my dad had, that he used to make grips on our barbeque. (rubber paint style stuff... worked great) Will try to take a pic if i can borrow a digicam
