Last weekend my girlfriend and I went carroling with her youth group at church. we went to several houses, froze to death, then came back to the church and stuffed ourselves with hot chocolate and cookies. Then the pastor came in. With him, a list of people that live out of the carroling area. We called each of them, spreading a bit of cheer to each. Then , finally, the last person. On the other end, a 100+ year old woman picked up. We began to sing carrols for about 10 minutes before we stopped. when we did, the woman on the other end was crying, thanking us for taking our time to do that. As it turns out that lady had been without many cards, or without people stopping by to chat, or what have you.
Kinda makes you think, doesn't it? Well, I wish all of you a Happy Holiday!
(Sorry if I'm not supposed to make a topic like this, I wasnt here last holiday season, at least I don't think I was.)
