How good is a swich shots super? Would it be a good price to pay 25 dollars for one new in box?

$25 for a Switch Shots Super? I wouldn't do it. The Max, from what I've heard, is a gun that would be worth that, but I have a Super, and it's in my opinion not woth $25. I bought mine at a KB Toy outlet, for something like $7-9. There are a few mods around, most involve taking the water part out and just using the air part. I tried to mod it using both parts. The air part worked pretty well, but is rather low volume. The water part has a slow air release. They both worked okay, but for some reason they wouldn't hold air over time, even with the release valve plugged. Then the O-ring of the pump shrunk, and I haven't fixed it yet. I plan to use the spare parts in an integration, and to rebuild my SM 1.5k.

I have purchased a switch shot max from toys r us 8 or 9 months back. I payed AU$6.40 for it and it was pretty good from the box. then i singled it and plugged the release valve and it shoots incredibly well, no range testing as of yet. but i have not had experience with the super.

Indeed I do.
$25 for one new in box is not a good price. I used to be able to buy them at AUD$10 a piece. They are very good blasters stock. You could get 40' flat out of the easy. When modified, they're better, but not by the best increment possible. A PVCd SSS could get about 70'.
Very good gun besides the shape.
If you need any other information, get in contact with me.
