So, today I was tipped off that I am going to be the next target of our assasin game. I went home and tried to devise some traps and obstacles for my enemies, but came up with nothing, so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas or even better, plans, for home made traps. Oh, and i already saw the Homemade claymore trap.

Well, this is not so much a trap but rather a hiding place. You could dig a whole in your back (or front) yard. put a wooden hatch over it and sod over that. Make sure the grass blends perfectly and use that as a hide out. you could set up a webcam in a tree so you know when people are coming. When they ring your doorbell you pop-up and shoot them and slink back down so they don't know where it came from.

Have doors / Trees/ anything where someone could open or stumble into it put a pull apart popper and duct tape it to the inside of the door or between the trees. Two pronged trap
1. scares crap out of person
2. warns you to location of the person

I'd put a bucket filled with Nerf Balls over your doors, then it would drop them on them. Old School Nerf Tech trap.

Right, so they come in, theres five of them, I have my door locked, and i jump out of my window onto my roof, i go around until i can se them at my door trying to get in still.(i had music playing loudly so they thought that i was still in there) i open the window behind them kill all of them with a NF, BBB, and a blowgun. It was amazing. <- i represent my local ninja clan.

The first thing I'd like to say is that 90% of us here do not regularly participate in assasin type games. Therefore, a lot of our comments will not be helpful. If you want some good advice, I would recommend consuluting Forsaken_angel24. He came to this board as an assasin player I believe; he would be your best source of information.

Secondly, that's quite the story. You mean to tell me you climbed over your house with a NF, BBB, and a blowgun? Not only that, but you hung outside a window, with three guns, and killed five people? That means you would have had to reload at least two of those guns. I am more inclined to think you reloaded the blowgun, but still. The chances that you would not get killed (by one of the five people or the fall) are much more likely than the story you just told. Even if you simply climbed in the window, the other five people must have been blind not to have been able to shoot you during your reloading time.

You are insane. I say this for two reasons. The first is that the thought of doing that stunt at least crossed your mind. The second reason is for that you thought some of us would believe that horseshit. That honestly has to be the worst lie someone has told on this forum in a long while.

Since I only play assassin games I would defenitly be the one to speak to about this sort of thing. First of all how did you take out five people with only 3 guns? Please tell me you had the BBB loaded with shotgun stefans and finally, why the fuck are you using blowgun? Pick up a Rapid fire. I find these have a great defence/offence. If you wanna play hardcore then Pm me. I have a few tips/suggestions I cant post due to the fact I am going into "The Winter games" as of Dec 16. Need to keep these ideas fresh and unknown untill the game is over.

This is the most professional trap I have ever seen. It is a motion sensor disk shooter!

What about when that guy (can't remember his / her name) told us he got 300 yards from his ball valve gun. that wasn't too long ago and that was a much bigger lie. Not that I don't agree but it seems as though that was a much bigger lie.

excuse, me, i did not climp over my house lugging that shit i had it set up already, and you havent even seen my house, my room is literally set up as the perfect escape area.
2 are downed by a Double barrel NF. 1 is downed by a blowgun that i then threw at them. another is downed by the first BBB shot. Then iu retreat sideways away from window, last one sticks self out window to shoot me i shoot him in the face. I actually got killed 2 hours later.

I still contend from what I read in Shivon's posts (which were not very easy to read), that this situation is highly improbable. If it were outside, I would tend to believe it more, just because the opportunities to run and dodge are greater. Whereas in this situation, things just don't seem like they add up. Shivon is either the faster shot ever, or those five people have some of the worst accuracy ever. I say this because even my accuracy is good indoors, where ranges are close and the angle that you are off by matters less. It more of less seems like after the first shot (maybe two), they'd realize what was up and fire on you.

Or there any other vets out there that find this to be not a likely story? Or am I just being an asshole admin? Or could it be these lovely pain killers I am on (that's a whole different story)? My experiences (both indoor and outdoor) say that the story is bullshit. I've seen crazy shit like this happen outdoors, but not hanging outside of a window. Maybe if Shivon was Spiderman...maybe.

Even if you are telling the truth, I'd call what you did a pretty dumb move. The last thing I would do is climb outside of my house for an ambush. The opportunities to fall are just too great.

I don't know if I can be constrewed as a vet but it doesn't strike me as reallistic, and if it happened I would doubt the skill of the people he was playing against. That and I'm not so sure as to what he said happened, I think that what he was getting at was that he fired from one window of his house to another or some such.

It sounds like he just popped the window open a little. at the front while they were too distracted and getting ready for him to open the door. Seems like he was indoors with cover and they were standing at his front door like sitting ducks. Since most players in these Assassin games dont play nerf wars, their field and tactical experience is weak. Assassin players tend to refer more on planning and the element of surprise which shivon clearly tapped into.
Either way, Good form and I look forward to hearing more Assassin stories.

I have a few things to say and I don't believe many of you will be very happy about them.
1. Shivon you THREW your blowgun at them? that seems dangerous. Im assuming your roof is at a fairly shallow slope so I wont criticize you there.
2. Shindig I don't see a reason to so harshly criticize people who slightly misuse grammar or punctuation. As long as the overall point is put across without serious effort by the reader I see it as a satisfactory post. Also why not give people the benefit of the doubt instead of saying they're full of bullshit, maybe ask for a full description of the roof/plan/people involved/guns involved first?
3. Talio there is no reason to snap at someone unprovoked for expressing their opinion despite your feelings that may be contrary to theirs.

So the whole point of the story is...you could have just told us that you got killed and that's why you need a trap, without all the ninja semi-fiction.

Starsnuffer, you're fairly new, so I understand why you'd think that Shindig and Talio seem a bit harsh.

This is not a democracy here. This is a privately owned site, and the owner (cxwq) has some standards he has placed (linky) so that there be a sense of order and some good, usable Nerfing information to the community at large.

He has the two above mentioned gentlemen, as well as some others, to act administratively to keep and maintain such order. It runs pretty well and those at the shallow end of the gene pool are culled out either by default or by selective removal (suspensions).

You'll see with time. For a sample of a more democratic system, try here.

The ninja story would probably be more well received there also.

Well, Bloody fucking hell. Honestly, I don't recall ever saying 'I' was HANGING out of my window. If I recall correctly I very specifically said I was on my ROOF, the front piece, which is almost FLAT, raining death upon them. 4 kills by shooting them through the window nearest my roof. 1 kill when other popped HIS(note now how i did not say "my") head out of the window to attempt to shoot me. Goddamn. Shindig, your really not a very nice person at all. I hope you get hit by a truck.
