I dunno about that, but I was using super glue the other day, and accidentally dripped some on my shoelaces and they started on fire, I'm not even joking, my shoelaces started smoking and I touched them with my hand and it burnt me, I'm not sure why this happened but it was the craziest thing ever.

Dont let your glue gun get so hot. When I work with mine, I unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in for aminute. This helps regulate the heat so it doesnt get drippy.

I wouldn't do that. The split shot weights are made of lead, which can cause: lead piosening, canser, and brain damage. I wouldn't try unless your weights aren't lead. It's good idea though none the less. Plus shouldn't this be posted in the stephen tips and tricks?

For any kind of 'styling', I just keep an ice cube handy. Because I'd rather not burn myself on something like that.

I know this might not really be on topic but, while making part of my far, I couldn't get the superglue to keep the balsa and the pvc together. It would keep breaking apart. Anyone have any tips on how to fasten the balsa with the pvc so it stays?

I second that, ice is perfect for styling, just make sure you do it right, or you;ll be left with... something that you don't want.

You posted a link to the forum rule in my thread and I nearly threw my computer out the window. Thats like giving some one a demerit in school and not telling them why just handing them a list of rules because you are TO LAZEY to tell them why.

If you get a $10 hot/cold glue gun like mine (even though it's always set on cold for me), it'll never drip on you. It hasn't happened to me yet.
