At the BAFF mod party, we did a decent amount of modding. We finished a bunch of Nite Finders for our group stash for pistol rounds so that everyone has the same sort of blaster for that round. This is one of them, which happens to be my new personal sidearm:

Modifications include a no dead space coupler--actually an end-cap with a hole drilled through--, [k26] spring replacement, teflon tape and an extra o-ring for a perfect seal, modification to keep it stock looking (orange sights, light, ammo holders), painting the silver with bolt-gun metal paint, and a custom speedloader

Ranges: Fairly good for a sidearm, I'd say about 65 feet flat with my slug darts and 6 in barrels.

I tried to resize the pics, but they are being retarded.

Nothing special here, grabbed a can of paint, roll of masking tape and a sharpie one weekend and knocked these suckers out. I'm actually quite pleased with the way Vinyl Dye spray paint came out. Bonded well, dried in less then 5 minutes, and is durable as hell. Some minor imperfections but hey works for me.

Nerf converted Shot Blast. Simple wire and keyring trigger, it may be ghetto, but it works. Also
I think it looks much better without the rest of the outer shell.

Before I start, I would like to express my gratitude towards Broken_SVT, who helped me LOADS on this project. Thanks, man!

With only 4 months of nerfing experience, after going $20 over budget, and one week of work, it's finished...

My Angel Breeched Longshot....
Here's a view of the closed breech from the jam door:
Posted Image
I originally intended to make my breech completely "stock"-exactly how Angel's writeup explains it. However, I had to do some improvising, since none of the writeups I found told you exactly where to cut the black bolt-piece down to. I realized mid way through the bolt assembly that when my barrel when into the 19/32" brass, it was stopped, and hit the 9/16" stub before the breech was completely closed. This is how my "new" design came along.
Posted Image
Basically, as the 9/16" barrel "half pipe" slides into the 19/32" brass and over the 1/2" brass, it slides over the 17/32" brass, and eventually is stopped by the 9/16" stub. However, for a 100% air-tight seal, plugging the air-release hole is still necessary. The 19/32" slides into the black piece a little bit. This is necessary for the 19/32" to be supported in the assembly, since the 9/16" does not protrude out of the piece. I still kept the 9/16" stub at the end to support the 17/32" and 1/2", and to create even more of a seal, if the half pipe touches it (this was more of an "attempt/experiment").

Suprisingly, my breech works almost flawlessly (the priming is quite hard, due to the excess friction between the barrel and the 17/32" stub), and opens enough to chanber a dart ~2-2.5" in length.

I did not feel that a writeup is necessary for this, but if people feel it is, please PM me and I will consider making a writeup. I personally feel that using this method makes the bolt-section a lot more versatile, and easy to make (measurement-wise and "getting everything to fit" wise).

Here's a view of the opened breech from the mag-well:
Posted Image

I am officially naming my Longshot "Colossus", after the great Greek statue. I love the gun, and I think that this is a great personal achievement.
With a stock LS spring, Recon Spring, and Lanard Shotgun spring, I'm getting 85-90'. I have yet to integrate the LSFG, but I am pretty happy with the gun without the integration. I may do it in the future, though.

Here he is in all of his holiness-
Posted Image

If anyone has any questions or comments on my breech or gun in general, please feel free to talk to me through PM's.

One of my most favorite sidearms ever...

Posted Image

Just a plain old spring replacement, o-ring replacement and lubrication for the NF.

Posted Image

And this NiteFinder isn't minimized because of a crossbow attachment! :D

Posted Image
Still I need funds to get a coupler. The original barrel leaks like hell.
Sorry for small-ish images.

Pretty Basic NF. Minimized, CPVC coupler'd, seal improvement. Now has no bands and a [k26] inside. I need to find my battery cover.

Photography sucks when you don't have a camera. It sucks worse when you don't have the right card reader.

My favorite mav:
Posted Image
It has the basic mods; ar removal, spring replacement, roulette mod, etc. The slide fits in pretty well with the paint scheme, so I never bothered to paint it.

My favorite recon:
Posted Image
Ar removal, powerstock (pretty beefy spring in there), and other small tweaks. This is an original recon and never had an armed bar cover.
Posted Image

This is what I'm considering my current primary:
Posted Image
If you haven't guessed, I like green. This blaster is painted with nothing but green. The RSCB holds about 6-7+1 stefans and can be rear-loaded or loaded from the front by removing the cpvc barrel.

Awesome nitefinder:
Posted Image
This has everything short of new internals: Extended draw, spring replacement with really big industrial spring, extra ammo holders, catch spring replacement, ar removal, and couplered for 1/2" cpvc. Sanded and ready to paint.
Posted Image

Longshot:
Posted Image
An experiment in camo for shits and giggles. Note the various orange pieces left unpainted.
The ls has: ar removal, added springs, most locks removed, and a new catch spring. There is no brass breach; out here in Delaware the only brass I've ever found was in small quantities at a high price.
The dtb has: ar removal, spring replacement, minimization, and swappable clips (or whatever it's called). It's attached so it can be independently primed and fired one handed and with a proper trigger.
Posted Image

Posted Image

Singled longshot:
Posted Image
cpvc breech and barrel, springs replaced with as many strong springs that could be crammed into the plunger tube as possible, and firefly ammo holders. The clear coat on this makes it look very glossy and sleek.

yet another ls:
Posted Image
The mods on this are similar to the first ls, except that the spring is somewhat stronger. I intended for something to go where the bipod used to be, but I never figured out what and just left the cpvc very lonely.

I have a ton more blasters, but these are favorites. Hopefully, I can get around to posting more.

Damn that is a sexy Longstrike!

I present the Marshmallow Blaster, perhaps one of the most underrated guns out there. It's stupidly easy to coupler, and the blue part is the airtank. The stock pump sucks, so I fixed that <_<

Posted Image

The release valve on this little bastard is pretty ingenious. There's a conical piece that presses up against a rubber washer. The trigger functions similarly to the CPT in that there's a piece of plastic holding the conical piece against the washer. When you pull the trigger, you pull that pin out of the way, the air forces the conical piece backwards and the air rushes out the barrel. When there's no more pressure there's a spring that resets the conical piece. This thing releases all of it's air in a millisecond, and sounds like a freaking starters pistol. With a random PVC barrel (16" I believe), I hurled a stock whistler 150 feet.

It's for sale.

Also apparently my iPod's camera sucks.

I'm currently holding on to hope that I can keep the normal trigger working while allowing a forward trigger to function.
