This was my 1st and only NF. The fact that's it's still in mostly one piece is nothing short of a miracle since I've taken it apart and re-assembled it ... over 10 times.
I've breeched it only for the looks because my friend requested it. It does not have a good seal because I don't have the proper tubes so it doesn't really work.... but luckily for me, my friend didn't ask for a "working" clipped NF.

Please b00m13! Make a write-up. I really want to know how to make a clippable nitefinder.

Thanks guys, much appreciated for the kudos.
Kid Flash, I'm sorry, but I refuse to sell you a defective NF, but all is not lost. I wrote a guide for anyone that wants to do this mod (the proper way), look for thread "Clipped NF Mod".

My super-moded mav. This things been through it all. Minimization, ar's removed, singled, and the spring replaced. Nice ranges for a mav. Not to mention a paint job to top it off.

The way it's shaped, it could almost pass off as a Star Trek phaser.

Believe it or not, that was the inspiration for it.

What are the ranges? You could probably squeeze 60' out of it with a nested brass barrel.

Not sure how often it's been done, but I wanted to try a white gun for a change. If I can, though, I want to sand/grind off the Nerf logos and warnings. The PVC mess to the side is purely cosmetic.

As far as modifications go, it's pretty basic. Air restricters have been removed, and the obvious addition of the Crayola barrel. My further plans include lubricating the plunger (my attempt with WD-40 just made it smell funny), the addition of another o ring, and maybe figuring out some internal banding.

Never lube a gun with WD-40. The solution eats away rubber (meaning your O-rings), and your gun will suffer tremendously. Other than that, the gun looks good. Barrel is a little crooked, though.

As much as I hear that, my first maverick I used WD40, and it doesn't have any issues. Its nearly 2 years old.

I know chemically it does eat it, but it doesn't seem to have affected mine yet.

petroleum products in general should not be used with o-rings because they will degrade them. But WD-40 in particular is primarily a degreaser and surfactant more than it is a lubricant. You should only be using silicone spray lubricant with plastics and O-Rings.

O.K. here is my Sharp Shooter 1. And it lives up to its name. I can the bulls-eye on the nerf targets everytime.

And here are the internals.

Posted Image

And as you might have noticed but I put a coupler in the gun wrapped in e-tape so the barrel dosn't wobble.

And here is my two First Shots.

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

like the one below
Posted Image
(the one on the bottom is so glossy it looks flaky under light. It hurts eyes)

My Magstrike. Nothin special. ARs removed

With the Sharp Shooter 1 I get about 30ft with tagers and 52ft with stefens. The ranges currently suck because I haven't put a new spring in it.

With the First Shots I get about 15ft with tagers and about 28ft with steffens. And again the ranges suck, this time because the seal is broken on them.

Here is my reactor. It has been CPVC barrel modded, and the orange part that used to advanced the ammo for the gun has been used for support. I don't know if the supoort part is new but nonetheless (sp?) here it is:

Props to the Star-trek-phaser-inspired-NF actually making someone think of the item it was based on. That's more difficult (for me at least) than it sounds.

Props to the Reactor modder. Poor thing needs some love.

I like the way the Disk Shot gun looks. That big ol' ammo storage in front is just SCREMING "integrate something!" or "clip me!"

Started with an integration: Disk Shot + SSPB. Y'all can take your AT2Ks and shove 'em wherever you want inside guns; I'll take SSPBs ;)

Brass coupler'd barrel on the Disk shot gun, CPVC barrel on the SSPB. NF spring in Disk shot. Shoots 58' average. SSPB gets 40' average.

I also made a duct tape holster. There's a little velcro dot on the top that fastens it in so it AIN'T gonna fall out, but also allows me to effortlessly draw it. :)

Sonic Bazooka. And don't claim 160 feet unless you're ready to prove it. I've had an extensively modded one of these, and it went 120 feet, tops.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
