I've got some blanks made up now that have been straightened, and they seem okay. I'm still hoping to find some higher quality foam that will fit the 17/32 breech thoughHave you actually tried making darts with the foam, or are you just checking if the raw foam fits? If it's the latter, make some darts with it, and see if they fit. Sometimes the foam changes when you put it through the drier, or however you straighten it.

Forgive me if this is a noob question, but is there any size of brass that nests nicely inside of pvc or cpvc? I want to coupler a night finder but still use a brass barrel

it depends, since PVC and CPVC have variable ID. You can wrap a few layers of Etape around your brass to make it fit snugly in PVC. Most brass sizes that are used as barrels would be too large to fit inside CPVC, however.

You have a plusbow or similar and you have found that the ideal barrel length is 12". If you replace the spring with one that is 30% stronger, keeping the same draw, how does this change the ideal barrel? Should it be longer, shorter, tighter, looser, no different ?

Edit for new question: which barrel materials if any would be good for a spring gun intended to shoot streamlines?
