While i was doing my at2k mod, i noticed that the holes that allow air to go into the barrels are pretty small and i what to know if i should make those holes bigger.

No, you should replace the barrels.
Once you've removed the existing barrels and pulled the air restrictors, the hole size isn't a problem. They're no smaller than the tank's outlet valve.

Air flow will not improve unless the entire airway is enlarged. That's impossible unless you completely rebuild the air tank and valve.
