I'm building a spring powered gun(basically a rip off of boltsniper's). I need a simple catch/trigger mechanism. Do you guys have any ideas that wouldn't need me to build a frame?

Eagles may fly, but weasels don't get caught in jet engines.

Something simple would be having a gate latch and a wood dowel attatched to your spring, but that wouldn't make much of a seal.
