So I took a 3k plugged the pump. Then I got 6" pieces of PETG and put them in the turret. When I pump the gun 5 times and shoot, the stefans immediatley curve to the right. The barrels are straight and my petg I am using is only 1/2" less then cxwq's AT3K, so shouldnt it work fine?

Do your stefans fly well out of a comparable gun? What are they weighted with? How is the fit in the PETG for your darts? Do they slide out if you tip the barrels down? Are they tight enough that you can't easily blow them through a long piece of PETG? Did you cut the original barrels/restrictors off before attaching the PETG? Do you push the darts all the way to the bottom of the barrels? Is the PETG cut straight?

Help us help you.

My stefans work perfectly with all my guns, I use 9/16" petg on all guns which fits my stefans nicely. I have to use a ram rod to push down the darts in my guns with long barrels, but I can blow my darts through peices of petg lying around. And yes I cut the orignal barrels to stubs, just like in your mod. The petg is cut straight, and I do push my darts all the way down.

Could you describe the way you make stefans?

Burn 2 holes in the front and back of backing rod for air guns. Pop a 1/4 weight slingshot bb in the top hole. Put a dome of hot glue on that is made by ice.

Well, I make stefans the same way (minus the hole in back, which I've been meaning to try). I have a brassed 3k, and have never had a problem like that. It's that the darts are consistantly curving right that stumps me. I can't think of anything that would be going wrong.

Could the turret be misaligned maybe? I've heard that in SM1500s if the barrel isn't directly over where the air comes from it will make the dart fishtail horribly and go nowhere. I've even had this happen with one of my CPVC couplered NFs; I put the hole in the plunger cap...thing off center.

Good luck.

Are your stefans perfect? If they arent strait or have uneven/misshaped tips that can ruin them in flight. It has to be your stefans.

Tomorrow or someday I shall post pics of my turret. And then you guys can see. Maybe that will help.

It sounds unlikely that the problem would merely boil down to imperfect stefans. Sure, slight imperfections among stefans can result in varying flight path (e.g. random deviations from straight) but, I mean, if ALL of them are firing off in the same direction, it sounds like a problem that is affecting all stefans in the same way (e.g. airflow). Unless, I suppose, all the stefans are sytematically screwed up in exactly the same way (which doesn't seem to be the case as they are fine in your other blasters).

Sounds like the turret is misaligned causing the airflow to be uneven (e.g stronger on the left/weaker on the right side of any given turret barrel). That's just a guess, though.

The barrels work, It was just an imperfect stefan. It seems the higher the pressure the picker the gun is with stefans.

Wait a minute. This entire time you were only using one stefan! How many times did you even fire the gun before deciding to post and waste everyones time. Even if your stefan is imperfect, it will fly not just right but left,up and down. Which tells me you probably fired it two or three times and coincidentally it went into the barrel the same everytime forcing it to fire in the same direction everytime.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.
