Ok guys, I just bought an Airtech 3000 Twin Pack from TRU today, and I was looking and there really weren't any mods on it that didn't use PETG. I just want to know how to remove the air restrictors, and one of the guns doesn't shoot. The dart comes maybe half way out of the barrel, if that. YES I did search google and NH with no help.

Just replace the PETG with another barrel material.

Well since one isn't working, I guess I'll take them back. I am just wondering if I should get a different gun or two, or stick with the 3k's. I am leaning towards 3k's but I am always open to suggestions.

Don't worry, I think that a lot of stock AT3K's are like that (have darts that don't fire). Mine were, but it was just an issue of a really bulky restrictor that was holding the dart in the barrel.

As far as a good barrel replacement:
If you're looking to single the AT3K (I have one singled because the rotator broke) you can replace the barrel with pretty much anything that you have lying around that fits your darts, it doesn't have to be PETG.

The reason that most mods are PETG is because you're limited on room if you want to keep the six rotating barrels. PETG fits nicely, but you can also use 9/16" OD Brass for very similar performance. Crayola barrels would probably fit nicely (I plan on trying that out on an AT3K that I have lying around). Anything with a bigger outer diameter, like PVC, will be a pain to fit in the six barrel slots, if it's even possible.

I'm sure there's a restrictor removal somewhere, but I don't remember seeing one...a barrel replacement will most likely be a lot easier.

Thanks alot BloodMoon, my next trip into town will be for brass or some markers instead of some new guns. I am most likely going to use crayola barrels because they're easy to find and easy to put on(from what I've heard).

Just be sure to file out the insides of the markers. I learned the hard way in my earlier modding days. My stefans had grooves in them because of these plastic protruding peices inside the barrell. I find Rose-art markers are much easier to use than crayola. (less filing)

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

What are the advantages of using crayola over just 1/2" pvc?

You don't use micro Stefans with PVC. Stock micros with PVC works, but very few of us use stocks. Crayolas fit micro Stefans, PVC doesn't. Its ID is 5/8", while the diameter of 1/2" foam is...1/2". Or at least within 1/16" of that, foam varies. Plus Crayolas would be so much easier to get on the turret.

Turns out, I took them back and got a pair of perfect new ones. I now have ammo for my PC also. Going to plug the pump on the 3k's. Will that make much of a difference on range? Or is it just for efficiency? I'll get around to crayola'ing the barrels pretty soon. Will the crayola's work with stock micros? Because that's probably all I'm going to be using for a while, at least until I get a few more friends into Nerfing and am able to have some decent sizes battles.

Plugging the release will give a big boost to your ranges, but just make sure you don't pump more than 5 times or so, or your tank may burst.

It's more Likely that you would blow your check valve, than busting your tank, Pilz did that to his 3k, so now we have this modded 3k with no way to hold pressure...

From My experience, Crayola-ing a 3k works just fine and is plenty effective.
