what size darts are you using? because if you are using micro sized stefans 1/2 inch pvc is too big and you may want to cryola barrel it to get a better seal.

Me personaly, I don't like messing with barrels, Then you have to make home made darts to fit, and it just takes so long to reload. All I did to mine was break the front ring off and pull the plunger out. From there I filled the two holes on the end with hot glue. That takes care of the pressure release vaulve. Now pump it 5 times and you should get like 60 ft. Thats what mine gets. If you are willing to do the quad barrel mod or the single barrel, or the double mod, try falcons site.

I use 1/2" pvc and I use stock darts.

I pump it seven times.

7 times ?! I hope that means you didn't plug the airrelease valve!
If you haven't, you should, and then limit your pumps to 2-3. The range will be greatly increased. The thing with airreleasevalves is, it doesn't matter how times you pump it, you could pump it a thousand times, it will just keep letting the exces air out.

Nope, I don't know why but when I pump it 3 times it's just like stock.
Yes I plugged the realease valve.
Also when it fires stock (darts) with seven pumps it's also like stock therefore it must be my kick-ass stefans!

Hey, I just single barreled my at2k. I attached the barrel right to the air tank and I'm getting 126' on a level shot. I think it's rediculously far for the gun. Maybe you should do that if you single barrel it.

126'... ya ok. May I ask your barrel material length and the number of times you pump it, because I find 126' very hard to believe.

My barrel is 14" long and I pump it five times. My barrel is made out of paper that is perfectly fitted to the darts. Most people attach the barrel to the rotating disk; well I attached the barrel to the tank itself. Along with this I plugged the pressure release valves and did cxwq's second tank mod. I used 2 tape measures to measure it and it shot all the way across my acre yard and into the neighbors which was hard to measure over there. I know it sound crazy, but try it, the darts go freaking far! It’s accurate up to 90’ too.

Wrong, Anyone whos an anybody will almsot always single a 2k by attaching it stright to the tank. CX'S tank mod doesn't increase range. And 14" is a rather large barrel. Whatever I still don't belive you.

Fine don’t believe me, I am still gona’ stick to my ranges. There was no wind either. But the dart that went 126’ wobbled and flew maybe 60’ in the air after I shot it. It was a strange sight but I have the shot on video even. I didn’t believe it either when I measured it, but tape measures usually don’t lie.

I have to agree. Even being new 126' seems really ridiculous. If you can really do that you should be making real guns. Not playing with Nerf Guns.

This one guy awhile ago, I forgot his name, but he tried to increase the accuracy on his Maverick with a paper barrel. That gave me an idea to make a blow gun out of paper. It was cheap, and I had a lot of it. Then one day I was messing around with my gun and decided to put the end of the blow gun on the air tank. To my surprise it shot all the way across my back yard and into the field behind it. I didn't believe it at first either, but all my other darts went just as far. I don't want to take the barrel off and replace it with something stonger because it may not work as well. I don't want to loose theses awesome ranges, so i'm gona leave it there. If you guys still don't bielive me try it your selves. With no wind I can peg a target away at 70', level shot on the first try.

I added a small bottle to my at2k as a reserve tank. I also blocked the pressure release and replaced the barrels with cayola markers(not shown in picture). With 50 pumps it gets about 50 ft on the first shot(level), 35 ft on the second(level), and about 25 on third(level). The forth shot was to crappy to even measure. It was a pain in the ass to get the bottle to not leak when pumped a lot. Plus 50 pumps is a pain in the ass but 3 pretty good shots fast are worth it. Always have a second gun on hand.

I plugged my brother's air release valve on his 2k and it works fine. A little hard to pump though.I shot it from my porch with a stefan and it dissapeared into the top of a tree about 110' from the porch.

it will just keep letting the exces air out.

And more air. Your range will decrease each extra pump that you pump it when you leave the pump handle stock. I have pump it 10 times without the pump plugged, and it fired about 50-40 feeet.
It is generly advised not to pump it over 3-4 pumps if you have it plugged, any more than that, it wil be to much presure for the valve and tubing.
Pico, your saying at 110', the stefan still had enough altitude to go over the top of a tree? I'm not buying it, even if its angled. How high was the tree? Could you take a pic of the tree?

Looks kinda cool in that redneck kinda way. Either way man there are some people who are getting about 70-80 feet with their quaded air tech 2000's and they only need 3-4 pumps. Ditch the bottle and and plug the hole well and you will be very pleased. Or better yet put a big action figure in there. That would look hilarious.

That's hilarious. I meant like either plug the hole or put a big action figure in the bottle. It will reduce the ammont of air volume in the bottle.

I get how that would work, but how are you gonna fit an action figure through a bottleneck? Unless it's a small one, but I prefer the dinosaur.
