I took some new picture of a few of my guns and thought I`d share a few.

I recently downsized my gun collection by selling my 20" AR and my FAL to a friend. It was hard to do but I needed the money at the time. At least by selling them to him I can still shoot them. I really didn`t want to give up the 308, but out of all my guns, it was the one I shot the least.

Enjoy the porn!

What was the peak number of guns you've owned? (Not including nerf) And is that a real katana? Cool nonetheless.

As of a few weeks ago I had 9 guns altogether. I`m down to 7 now.

Yes, that's a real katana. It's a Cold Steel Warrior Series. Extremely sharp.

Hey, wealthy aerospace engineer genius cousin of mine...

...is that short barreled AR legal where you live?

It looks absolutely awesome; but where I am that's considered a short-barreled rifle, and a no-no in Hawaii. Remember that Bushmaster pistol cx posted on awhile back? That was neat too, but also illegal here.

As of right now, I have no firearms (sold my shotgun recently since I don't really use it), but soon hope to get some .22 rifles (probably Ruger 10/22s) to teach the son how to shoot straight. He's already mastered the .177 pellet rifle (taught by my wife, the resident pest bird loser), so the skills should be a carryover.

Oh well, I can dream of short barreled ARs along with the Glock I'll probably die waiting to purchase.

Awesome guns!

My dad and I just got our Glock refitted, apparently when you buy a Glock you get a lifetime of service and upgrades. We had 19 upgrades that they "owed us" when we called. Pretty cool. I'll post some pictures of our last shooting trip later.

But seriously, <3 at that AR dude. AR's freaking rule.

EDIT: Is that a Hogue Grip on your USP?

Pineapple,

any rifle with a barrel under 16" in length is considered a short barreled rifle. In the great state of Virginia however, nothing illegal (including full auto) if you pay the right amount and wait long enough. It is perfectly legal to own an SBR if register it as a SBR with the BATF and pay a $200 tax stamp. If you have nothing negative on your record then you will be approved but since it is the government it takes about half a year for them to get back to you with approval. The stock is what designates it as a rifle. You could register the lower as a pistol and never put the stock on the buffer tub and be perfectly fine. Although if you had an extra stock laying around and an AR pistol with a buffer tube that could accept a stock, you would probably want to get rid of the stock. There have been cases of people owning pistols with extra stock and being charged with intent to manufacture a short barreled rifle. Even though they had a perfectly legal AR pistol.

That little thing is a blast to shoot. For some reason it almost more fun to shoot 22 through it than 223. Not the most accurate thing, but damn its fun. Loud as hell and throws out a wicked muzzle flash (with 223).

Yup Groove that's a hogue grip on the USP. I like having finger swells on my handguns.

Not to hijack your thread, but I thought I'd share some pics of me and Inlitned1 on our "end of the summer shooting trip" a few weeks ago. These are all taken at the range.

Our AR15 with assorted mags lying around it.
Posted Image

The various assorted mags we're experimenting with. The polymer ones are a pain in the ass to lock in, don't think we'll be using those much longer.
Posted Image

Me holding our Rock River Arms AR15. That's a stainless steel barrel. It's fucking heavy.
Posted Image

That's me shooting our Glock with all the upgrades they gave it. Since our Glock is from the first series of pistols Glock ever made, we kept the original slide and grip, hut have upgraded all the internals so it retains it's accuracy. Our Glock has a Hogue grip on it, like Bolt's.
Posted Image

My friend Inlitned1 shooting my Dad's old Smith and Wesson .38 special. Also, one of the first revolvers they ever made - back when guns were custom made by humans, not by machines. It's a relic but it patterns just as good if not better than our other pistols.
Posted Image

Just as a side story, while we were at the shooting range, we heard this really loud gun a few booths down from us. After 8 shots we heard a loud, "TINK!" and a metal sleeve flew out of the gun. We looked over, and sure enough, the guy was firing an M1 Garand at 100yd targets. I popped a stiffy. Posted Image

I love modern guns, but I've got to give it to the relics once in a while, they may be old but they still kick a little bit of ass. My .308 is pretty old too, rarely fire it, but it's still accurate as hell. Wish I had some pictures of my Dad's and my collection of pistols to show, but sadly I do not.

No hijack at all. Great pictures. The title of the thread is "gun porn." the more the better.

Good ole Wolf ammo. Crappiest crap ammo in the world but we all shoot it cause its cheap as shit.

Nice AR and pistols!

My father has an old S&W 38 special as well and a Colt Huntsman 22. One of these days I`ll inherit them.

*cries*

No, really. I hate you guys (in a kidding kind of way). I miss the range. We only shoot out in open fields against a giant dirt berm.

Slightly off-topic; but Groove, did any hot brass fall and bounce to hit your feet? OUCH! After a few times at the range I wore covered shoes all the time. Nice Glock.

Yeah, everyone talks about semi-miliary inspired synthetic component semi-autos that shoot smallish cartridges, but when you bring out the real meat-and-potatoes guns (like the Garand), it gives a whole new perspective as to what really is a 'kick-ass' gun. Stuff like the Garand, Winchester '94s in .30-30, M-14s, 12 gauge shotguns firing rifled slugs. Good stuff.

That S&W looks like an old Model 15 (one of the police line of old .38 Special revolvers). Looks to be as good lookin' as good shootin'.

I'm getting memory overload. I want to go gun shootin' again.

Agreed. Garands are pretty bad-ass. I`ve had an M1A on my "to buy" list for a long time now. They just aren`t cheap at all. I think it will eventually replace the 308 void in my collection. Eventually....

I also want to get a good lever action in a good cowboy caliber like 30-30 or 45-70. Just too cool.

cold steel sux balls...

Well that's what i've automaticly said all these years. Due to the fact cold steel has crappy knives and horrible marketing techniques that do a detriment to us 'knife knuts'. but that katana looks pretty cool, they even put a "blood groove" on it (for got what its called on katanas)

It's called the bo-hi or just hi. It's not really a blood groove either. Not sure where that myth got started. It's there to make the blade lighter to balance the sword and also make noise when swung.

As a company Cold Steel does kinda suck. I've had no experience with there knvies. I stick with Benchmade and Spyderco when it comes to folders. They're direct prices are ridiculous too. I paid $220 for the katana and I beleive it is worth that, but I wouldn`t pay $500. I've had low end and worse katana's in the past....fucking worthless. Cold Steel makes their katanas with all the traditional parts and materials. The blade is fully tempered so there is no temper line. That's the only real difference when you look at one.

I dug up some pictures from some past trip to the range.

Don`t freak out. Unloaded, bolt open, finger off the trigger.
