I was wondering if anyone else had done this. I single barrelled my strongarm and it got 80+ feet. I will give details if anyone wants them.

Let's sticky this. This is the TEXTBOOK definition of a "NEWB" or "NOOB" post.

That's mean! No need to rag on the guy, just ask for pictures nicely, like the second poster...

Forums are great but people need to realize that just because someone owns a Nerf gun they're not going to automatically be participants on that forum community. With all due respect to the tire iron crowd, they've been around longer so they've gotten grumpier with seeing the same questions over and over again, and the same posts over and over again. The problem is when they express that grumpiness they turn off newcomers.

I don't necessarily agree with either side of the argument about 'n00bz', but it certainly leads to a lot of hard feelings ('tire iron').

I've gotten 70-80ft. With a single-barrel CPVC strongarm. It sucks stock because of all that vinyl leading to the barrels, and because the air is split in half due to double barrels. I wouldn't call someone a noob just because they achieved what you failed to do/think is impossible.

I have also single barrel CPVC modded a strognarm and mine too got 80'. I think it is mostly contributed to the VERY good plunger seal and the speed at wich it moves.

This thread is a fine example of veterans ripping on a newb/noob when they themsevles dont even know.

Hey, I wasn't trying to be mean at all! All I asked was for some more depth in his post. That's all.

Man, did everyone's sense of humor go on vacation and not tell me? Lighten up. The day I see a strong arm go 80' is the day I throw it that far from a moving vehicle.

to summarize:
Strongarms do not go 80' or they would become a staple in any nerfer's arsenal.

I used about 7 inches of cpvc. I cut a hole in the front and atached the barele directly to the plunger. I cant get pics right now becuase my digi cam is being mean. Ime telling you it gets 80 feet.
