I am looking for the nite mav mod or to put it for simpler people a mav with a NF plunger in it. I would prefferable prefer it in write up form but will settle for pictures. Any help would be most abliged (sp.).

Well I can't really help you with that but I can give you limited advice. I suggest taking both of them appart and figuring out how they work. Then you should probably just gut the NF and stick the plunger and whatnot inside to Mav. I'm not sure how doable this would be but I think it would be really great if it worked. Keep us posted on the results of this.

I will keep you informed and as a side note the only reason i want to do this is because I dislike the fire fly greatly it is too big and I could make the nite mav for less money. Not only that but if I get another mav I could do the cool Barrel mod (the one where you can take out the cylinder).

The chamber in the mav isn't big enough for the NF plunger to be operable at all. I had a team, a team people, working on this when it was presumed possible, and it just isn't. Unless you got a lot of help, spent a lot of money, and just cut out the back of the Mav and extended it's case, re-designed the trigger system to sit halfway outside the gun, and had God himself do the hand-work, I can say with almost certainty that it will prove to be a waste of time. But good luck.

But I could always be wrong. Maybe there's some trick, some unseen facet that allows it to actually fit functionally... I would like to be proven wrong with this.

I stand corrected. If you could do ^^that mod, it might not be so hard. He just took that whole part off the NF and put it onto the Mav, solving my problem. It causes a few others, but that's the fun of coming up with mods!

After breaking my Maverick lock mechanism by adding another spring (O.o) I've been trying this too, and it is a little bit hard! I do think it's possibe because I have seen a guy at NerfHQ do it, but it does seem like the spring assembly is too big for the Maverick... unless you just cut out the whole back end, which really isn't that bad of an idea. I'll keep you posted.

EDIT: Here are the pics from NerfHQ

I saw the NHQ post too, but it's just a picture of internals and numbers. I have chosen to not believe it because there just plain isn't room in a Mav for the NF internals. It's just too long.

Respectfully disagree. I don't think length is the problem; I think it's too WIDE, but if I slice a part through the side of the Mav body allowing the barrel to extend a little beyond the absolute inner wall of the casing, it might work. Picture the little side-slits on the Nite Finder, but on a Maverick.

Are you suggesting that people aren't entitled to their own opinions and that someone might be 'important' enough to be beyond having their ideas challenged? Shame on you sir.

I hope that even after having introduced and demonstrated the utility of brass, nesting, and PETG, people will still challenge my assumptions and look for better ways to do things.

I wouldn't have put it so bluntly, but yes.
