Hey guys, i just recently CPVC'ed my maverick and i've been having a problem with my stefans: i don't get good ranges. On average, i get abotu 25 feet, which is less than stock. Any ideas guys? It would be appreciated, thanks.

You know theres other threads about this?

1) The maverick isnt really that powerfull to begun with
2) CPVC probably isnt the best fit for you stefans wich is probably ruining the mod.

Ok first: Make sure there are no air leaks, cover up all holes where air might escape.
Second: If your going to use cpvc. have fun stretching the shit out of your stefans so they fit.

Third: The best kind of darts that fit into cpvc are the darts that come in the secret strike pocket blaster. They are slightly longer and thinner for some reason. Make loser darts out of those and you are set. Personally I Crayola barreled my Maverick because I cant stand cpvc.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

If you're going to make stefans just for CPVC barrels, then I suggest the following. Use a hairdryer to warm up the darts, and it will shrink them. After that, bend them by hand until they're straight, then toss them in a bucket of really cold water. Then, they fit really nicely in CPVC. I just realized that I was shrinking my darts when I straightened them, so I'll have to use another method.

I've always thought that a barrel replacment for the Mav is pointless. The whole purpose of having a tighter barrel is so that the air can compress to it's maximum until the dart leaves. However, in the mav, since the seal between the cylinder and plunger is so poor, you are probably losing a ton of air with a tighter barrel.

You posted a link to the forum rule in my thread and I nearly threw my computer out the window. Thats like giving some one a demerit in school and not telling them why just handing them a list of rules because you are TO LAZEY to tell them why.
