Well im going to mod my blastfire and i heard that if you plug up the realease valve it messes up the check valve and the gun won't work anymore. is this true.

I'm one of the people who jacked up my check valve by plugging it.

Having talked to a whole slew of people who had no problems after plugging their valve, I think you're fine as long as you keep the surface of the hot glue flush with the face of the pump head. That is, keep the hot glue entirely in the overpressure release valve hole and shave off any that sticks out.

I've read that the full box version will blow it's check valve. I've never tried, not wanting to break it. Though seeing as how I've broken three trying to mod them, I didn't plug their valves

edit: looking at the two last replies times, I should learn to type faster.

thanks, if i dind't plug it up what is the distance Differential

Well, if you don't plug the pump you'll want your barrels to be considerably shorter (4" instead of 6" probably) and you should expect to lose about half your range.
