Today i woke up and my mom told me "theres a nerf article on the front of the FYI sectoin" I didnt believe it myself so i went to look. It was the strangest thing i had ever seen in my entire life. I read the article and it seemed like the author (who was a girl) new alot about nerf, she knew there was modifications and had several guns (a picture of an at4k). It was a well written article but it made my laugh some times when i realized it was nerf. After i got over the shock of this in the newspaper i scanned it, robo nerf should have the pics up soon.

Dude, that pic is massive. I can only make out a few words. Maybe he should consider resizing it...

Otherwise, very, very cool.

Cool, thanks for the heads-up!

Any chance we could get a better scan or a transcript of the article?

Maybe the newspaper has it on a website?

I was in awe about this, since it reminds me of the Steve Jackson's (?) game Killer. Of course, then I read the rules and realized none of us would win in it.

Yeah, i emailed her and she said that she has seen nerfonline, nerfhaven and nerfcenter. She has heared a little bit of modifications and stuff, but people broke her guns.

She told me not for everybody to email her, so i wouldn't advise to.

When I first saw the site i thought "there are people out there that acually do this?" But then they probably think the same thing when the hear of people who mod their guns.

I dont think we could ever do something like that, mainly because our clans are so tightly knit that having like 60 kids would make it too weird. And you would have to separate the vets from the noobs, and gah.

Provided all the equipment was basic, I hardly think it would matter. Divide the 60 people randomly into 30-person teams, declare the rules, and play. "Vets" don't have special powers that allow them to not be hit by darts when unarmed and walking to their car after work... Or sleeping, or whenever else a proper assassination could be planned. The entire idea isn't based around the same bonds that keep small clans together, it's about enjoying a fun experience with people who you eventually get to know. It's all fun regardless, and I suggest you try it... I'm not sure how I'd organize this kind of event myself, I'm rather anti-social and don't have that many connections that would be up for this engrossing of an activity.

I dont know what I was trying to say, or whether I agree with Zero or not.
But what I do know is that it must be easy as hell to dodge an unmodded LnL if you can dodge a fully modded crossbow, I mean, you could even do fancy matrix shit.

Well the thing is, most of these are ambushes, where you don't know whats happening until you've already been shot at. I mean, ours ended yesterday (we won by the way, $150 per person!), and when I was shot, I had no clue what happened until I saw the dart lying infront of me and people cheering.

You participate in ones involving monetary competition, Atticus? Same rules and everything?

Yeah, rules are pretty much the same, except it costs $5 to enter, so that the winning team gets a huge sum of money. We had some 120 people enter, so the pot was HUGE. The only differences I could think of were that if you were shot, you were dead forever, and that if you're walking from school/work/other safe zones to your car, then you're fine. But walking from a non-safe zone to your car, you're fair game. This eliminated people just sitting outside at someones car waiting for them to get off work. It was great fun might I add... and even though I got shot about 3/4 into it, it was SUCH a relief, since I didn't have to be paranoid about everything, and be afraid to show my face in public.

Dude! Our high school does the same thing with the seniors! In fact, I let my neighbor borrow a couple of guns for his team, "The Celtic McCobbs". Good times. Except at our school it's called Senior Assasins (sp?) and it's three hits through-out the course of the last month of school. It was cool to see seniors following cars, parking down the street, hiding behind a tree and then rushing and capping someone who's trying to get into their house. Good times...

sounds like a lot of fun, but it also sounds like you have to be paranoid about every upcoming minute, until you get shot that is :D but it still sounds like fun. i would probably like that excitement, maybe, because i don't always like that kind of thing though.
