Ahh yes. I found this old-school gun, the Blast-A-Matic lying around in my garage:

Posted Image

It's of course not the best weapon around these days (One of the first nerf guns ever made), but I'd still use it. Right now, I'm having trouble with it because it's got a busted spring or a very worn out one inside the barrel that holds up the balls. Any advice on what to do?

Man, I love that blaster. It was one of my first and is probably my favorite ball gun. Anyways, finding a replacement spring may be a challenge unless someone will sell you one. Otherwise, you could take the spring out and give it a stretch.

How big is the B-a-M spring? I've got a Reactor spring I'm dying to get rid of, but I don't think they're the same size.

Oh how does the Reactor work by the way? When I say that I mean how is it powered? The spring I'd say is...(*sprints into room, looks and runs back*)...about 6 inches long and an inch wide in diameter. I'll see if I can stretch the spring, but that's a big IF.

Davis, I think in this instance it's ok. Besides, I am pretty sure I could name a bunch of people that would donate to the SG Pilot legal defense fund in the event "Team NC" did anything about it. Plus, some of those people would probably do it just so they could know of Andy's whereabouts and meet him behind the court house.

I used to have that gun, and believe it or not, I've seen two nerfers run around with those in the middle of the war. They're real easy to dodge, but it's pretty funny watching someone get hit with one of the balls and then curse up a storm because they got hit.

Haha, I know. I'm gonna be honest and say I just wanted to be the first person to say it, cause I know someone would. That kind of behavior won't happen again.

Andy's "legal team" is bullshit, but it is his right to tell people not to use his images. It's like when Yooper stole Cxwq's stuff, he was pissed as hell.

In this case, the NC logo is on the images. In my opinion, that gives credit to Team NC. He didn't claim that the images were his own (just that he foun that particular gun), and the watermark wasn't taken out. If the situation were different, I would agree with you completely. I just don't think using an image in this matter is that cut and dry.

Good luck on that.

Not exactly, its more like the Blast-A-Ball, not the Blast-A-Matic.

Nerf Had a rocket launcher from the 1970's( One of those stomper thingies). I've already discussed my view on the matter of TeamNC's view of pictures.

It's be cool if they made one of those artillery-like Missle Launchers that shot BIG rockets or a huge burst of them down on people. He he he, that'd be awsome. The ML is an interesting concept.

Well, after looking at my Blast-A-Matic, I found that it's not very air tight. Because when I try to fire, the air that comes out of the barrel slips past the ball. Any ideas?

Pump it slowly a few times to get the ball lodged solidly in the front opening. Then ram it forward really hard. I have two, but I'm not ready to part with them. My first nerf guns, from the first christmas I rememebr. I shot my sister in the eye at age 4 with one. My first kill. My first headshot.
