Firefy seen in Target in So Cal for $20 as well; Clan mamber bought one, and it sounds like it's getting Stock NF ranges as of right now (no modding yet).

Purchased one Firefly today, eastern PA for $19.52 plus 6% tax. The thirty feet on the box is about right, haven't done extensive testing yet. Darts are pretty cool in the dark, but "Tracers work both ways."

hey what type of ammo does the firefly use? I know that it has special glow in the dark ammo but are these darts just micro darts that glow or are they some other size?

Bought mine about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Southern Maryland Wal-mart. Modded with 8 inch barrels and replaced spring with a NF spring. Gets 65 flat and 80 angled.

How did you add 8 in barrels with that orange thing in front of the barrels.
Plus I' ve heard that a sriched FF spring gets better range than a streched NF spring...

He got in the long barrels by leaving the orange piece out. Something that I'd classify (along with stretching springs) as a mistake. The turret shakes around more without it and will not be accurate. Not to mention that 8" barrels are way too long for any spring gun short of an xbow.

I saw them at the TRU in Vegas near the mall.

Dart Tag: $41.99
Firefly: $24.99

I think those are the highest prices we've seen aren't they?

Wrong. The barrels don't shake too much. And you're right on the next statement. I ahve to shorten them to 6. And it still should go shorter. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to it.

For me, "too much" is any non zero number when it comes to barrel shaking. I've tried my ff with the orange thing removed and no barrel extensions at all and it makes it less accurate. Additionally, there is a little extra resistance on the rotation which is little ff's way of letting me know that it will eventually break if I don't put orange thing back.

Me, I'm going to make a new orange thing that doesn't inhibit barrel travel.

CPVC-ing the barrels like the Mav mod and integrating an AT2K inside?...

It would, but it would severly cut down ROF and you can't use the cocking mechinism.

The ROF wouldnt be too seriously effected, it would even be faster than an AT2K cause you dont have to turn he turret manually. Just pump 3 times, fire, and repeat.

That would be really hard to get the timing right though. It is timed so that the turret rotates and shoots for every trigger pull, which is perfect for the FF but its trigger pull is most likely different than that of an AT2K.

What you could do to remedy this though is to hook up the FF's cocking mechanism to the firing pin of the AT2K, so you pull back the orange slider to shoot, and just pull the trigger to line up the barrels. This would only work if the turret mechanism is like the Maverick's - a full trigger pull (not the release) lines up the barrels, and a full trigger release gets them unaligned.

YES. My local Wal*Mart has about eight FFs in stock and about the same number of DTBs!

I'm in extreme northeast Ohio for anybody around here.

EDIT: My Target has FFs too, not DTBs though.
