I recently downloaded America's Army and have been playing online some.
I kinda suck. I have 5 multiplayer kills, but I die alot. I still think it's fun, but if you have any tips or hints, please give them to me.

Also, if there are enough people, we could have our own server.

My screenname is NerfLad.

I have completed all of Basic training, Airborne Training, and half of Special Forces training.

As far as I know, Ballman runs an AA clan, but I dunno if he frequents NH.

I'll make him aware that you play.

And about servers:
As far as I know, they are a hell of a lot more expensive than CS servers (and also a hell of a lot more people play CS in the first place), they are something like 8 dollars a slot with a mininum of 8 slots. And 4 on 4 ain't any fun for 64 dollars.

If we do do servers, it will be for CS/HL/any HL mod. I ran a dedicated server for me, DJHurley, and Jskater (we talked about it on NHQ), but J started spazzing out because I was messing arround when we were using EntMod.

Sorry To Semi-Hijack Your Thread, But For the purpose that Jskater might be reading this now, I'm gonna tell the story:
DJHurley makes a platformer game using ent.

Me and J are trying to play it.

J and I are attempting the first part (jumping from stairs to a platform), and because he had admin on my server, whenever he fell, he didn't die.

I thought it would be funny to turn off his godmode right before he hit the ground.

He spawns, runs over, and without turning back on his godmode, which was the point of him being an admin (being able to do stuff for himself), he jumps and dies again.

This repeats 2 more times.

Just as I am about to put his godmode on, because he is apparently too lazy to do it himself, and the joke was dry by that point, he quits the game.

DJ starts talking how J is bitching that I am being a dick on the server.

It was a fucking joke, and we haven't played together since, because he had to walk for 2 seconds more to get to the stairs than he would of had to.

I played it on and off from when it first came out (Version 1.0 "Recon") to version 2.2 or so. I was pretty damn good, I had a global kill to death ratio of about 3 to 1 with well over a few thousand kills. I'm playing mostly Battlefield 2 now, although the past week has been taken over by a nerf-related project.

I've tried to play it but the piece of shit game won't let me upload my marksmanship training to my username, so i have no ability to play online, at least not where i should be able to play. If anyone knows how to fix this, feel free to help me out.

Did you log in before you did training? That's what happened to me. I didn't log in before I did training and it didn't work. But then I logged in and it worked fine.

No, I've logged in before too. It gives me a "communication error" message and doesnt send the scores.

Yeah, it takes alot of practice!

I have a server program that lets me run a free server off my own computer. Lower quality than rented servers, but you don't have to wait for PunkBuster to update when you first join the room, and it's still pretty good (since my computer is fast).

If anyone is interested, we could have a NerfHaven server (not dedicated).
Games would have to be planned here on NerfHaven.

Kuhlschrank: hmmmmm... What connection speed are you running?

I'm not running a server right now because I am on my 98. Which really sucks.

I reccomend any server running the Bridge Crossing level if you're still interested in playing online.

Its a cable connection, and my personnel jacket logs in when I sign on, I just can't update it when I pass a course.

Stanpig: Here is the site

Kuhlschrank: Always check your Personnel Jacket before you play any level. Sometimes the game "forgets".

America's Army is a completely free game.

To choose a server, complete at least half of the training missions, go to "Deployment" and pick "internet" from the tabs at the top.

You just wait till it gets close to the end. It REALLY slows down. Mine froze once when I was downloading it. Maybe that's what made it take so long...

By the way: I run XP on my laptop. Which is also my Gaming computer. Which is kinda sad.

Try to read the manual. If it works, you have Acrobat 6.
