So I really like Wikipedia, it's a great resource to find out about just about anything. So out of curiosity I typed in nerf and here is what I got. I know that Wikipedia is user driven so I figure if anyone one wants to add a more indepth write up, that would be cool. Then when we get a question about some of the reall basic stuff we can just point them at Wikipedia.

thoughts?

edit: I also found a link to this site off the wikipedia page. Whoever wrote it up did an excellent job chronicalling every nerf and many non-nerf guns out there.

Nerfpalace and laramireviewed are both my sites. I had some pretty good reviews and writings on nerf history but unfortunately I lack the tech skills necessary to make a Nerfcenter type database of nerf reviews.

Just as a sidenote: You can take the information from these reviews which took literally years to collect and the entire document, modify it etc. without any need to give me credit for it. The reason I mention this is because I don't make a DIME from making nerf reviews. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE. :P

I don't remember much, but I wrote a few sentences of the Nerf Wikipedia page. I can't find my IP address in the history page however. I probably considered writing something but didn't.

Someone might want to run the IPs on the history page at Wikipedia through the Mod CP here to find out who wrote what (if they joined here).

Anybody willing to do the writeup on Stefan Mohr on Wikipedia? Come on, he deserves it.
And why isn't Boltsniper mentioned?

He was, just not by name.

The article detailed something about a successful homemade weapon, which I would have to assume refers to Boltsniper.

Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

What about Spoon? What about Vacc? They were all members of the original Listserv back in the mid to late '90s.

I really think the general stupidity here is increasing at an exponential rate. This more than likely means that I have toned down the number of beatings. It is time to trim down that behavior. If anyone had the brains to search, you'd see a topic on this same subject from a little over month ago.

I've been working all summer with little time to hold back the growing idiocy, but I will be back in full force in the next couple of weeks. I've been making mental notes, and the targets are set. I'd suggest you all brush up on the Code of Cunduct.

NerfMonkey:
They should be mentioned as well.

Shinding:
I missed to read that topic.

And Black Wrath, I know that Boltsniper was ment. It's just that his name should be there instead of "one modder". To me it sounds like saying "some random scientist" invented the light bulb.

(I'll probably get kicked from NH to NerfHQ for this. *smokes the last cigarette)

I see your point, well made.

It's not just the Four Horsemen or the current Nerf veterans...

You have to remember the old moderators and contributors of old NerfOnline; Sniper5000 comes to mind as laying out many plans for homemades, along with Evil Angel and his crew (wow, it's been a while...).

I must have missed the topic, I wasn't too active on the forums during the early summer. I still think adding some info to the Wikipedia entry is worth while.

So how about some thoughtful contribution to the topic like, say a draft of something we'd like to add to the wikipedia entry?

I (one of the four horsemen) WAS the head admin (at least the only vocal one) and leading contributor (most articles) of NO for several years and lemme tell you, that place could have been run better by a team of moderately trained chimps. As far as it being a while since "Evil and his crew", well that's just stupid.

I'm going to add half a Wiki entry for my Nerf Warfare Quake mod. And maybe another half entry for each time I started to write the Chronicles.

...or maybe I won't. Yeah, I probably won't even get so far as halfway finished, anyway.
