Hey hey, it's that time again. After two years with our current host we've decided to pack up and move to a new hosting account. I expect our generally good reliability and speed to continue, and our available bandwidth and disk space will go up considerably.

Unfortunately, during the actual move there will be a short period of down time for the forums while I perform the database backup/restore. I'm tentatively planning this migration to take place on Wednesday, August 3rd from 9AM to 3PM PST. Our existing hosting will still be active until the 11th so I'll be able to put a redirect on the home page until the DNS changes propagate.

This transition is a direct result of the success of the site. We are now averaging well over 1,000 unique visitors per day and 20-30 gigs of bandwidth per month. Thanks for making the Haven what it is today and thanks in advance for your patience during this transition.

You should change it to the 2nd, because that's the day that I won't be able to access NH for a whole day. Well, at least a good 8 hours of it.

NOOOOOO...! It'll crash the server when each topic becomes longer than every SE.N.O. topic put together. They will smoke this benchmark in, oh, say, fifteen seconds.
