EDIT: you have to go to wal-mart to find it I think. But be sure to look on the top shelf. I almost didn't, but when I did, I peed myself

hey, when you say about maverick, does that mean that the range sucks? or is it effectively the same as the maverick with more range?

I live in Chicago, yes! I'll be picking one of these up soon. I've already purchased the Dart Tag and we have used it in two seven man wars. I got two kills in one round with it (mind you everyone else had a sm1500, at2k, LnL, at3k, or NF). I'm guessing that the Dart Tag is the better buy after reported results.

Did anyone else notice that the DT and FF were found by people in the Mid-West first?

Ok, how does the loading work? do you load all 8 at once or 6 then 2 as some claimed?
Im trying to figure out potential mods for this puppy, 'cus i think it would look right bad ass singled with a silencer on it. think Sc20k (F2000) Maybe add a UB at24 and we cold have the ultimate weapon.

You load as many slots as you can with darts (two slots are obstructed by the orange piece) and then turn the turret to reveal the sast two obstructed slots. then fill the gun with photo-electric darts of doom.

I was thinking of turning the little phto light thing into jsut a flash light but make it to where you can turn it on with the switch. Then, sine the orange obstructor does not look very potentially needed for the gun, I might just remove it off of mine (when I get it) and put a long bolt done the barrel column. Thus making it prone to the use of a speed loader. Can't wait!

i have just discovered a minor problem with my firefly. the darts tend to fall out of the barrels from time to time. but i kinda fixed it by putting tape on places around the barrels but not on them so it can freely rotate. if you can pull out the orange obstructor, and put pvc barrels on it, then that could solve the problem. still cant open the gun all the way. i was wondering if anyone else with a firefly has had problems openning it?

i dont have a titan, but it certainly looks like it has a SCOUT attachment rather than a HORNET attachment which is weird cause its so big (in relationship to other nstrike pistols) if it doesnt attach to the titan, then why would it be a part of the nstrike line?

They did it to leave the option for it to attach to future blasters ( They are probably going to release somthing that the FF will attach to ).

Hey Shotty,
I already have some plans for the sc-20k.
PM me and I'll talk to you about them.

P.S. I have an idea about maybe why you cant open it...
Maybe the fellas up at nerf saw to many people demolishing their products for what we like to call modifying nerf guns. It specifically says on the box and the gun that you are not supposed to modify darts or dart blaster for saftey reasons and 'cause they dont wanna get sued. Thats the reason for the cheap sunglasses that came with the dart tag set. I think maybe they have permenentally closed it off for these specific reasons. These are just my ideas... I have no idea if its true or if there is just a part of the gun that you just havent taken off that is preventing you from opening it.
Just my thoughts...

EDIT: Hey Unckie Hamma,
If you get one up there in Austin, let me know. Im sure if they have gotten there then they are here too.

i think the firefly might be what were looking for from a nerf gun. compact(like a bulpup desighn) light(see last note) and pretty decent RoF. Now, you see the yellow bit on the front of the gun? imagine a hole there with about .25 in. of brass or pvc coming outta that connected to an AT2k. SCHWEET!!!! now, add an spbb embedded in the bottom somehow, and we have a long range slow rof gun, a med range high rof range gun and a holdout all in one convenient package. again, SCHWEET!!!!

It's not a bullpup design. The turret is clearly in the front of the gun, not the back. It's a bigger maverick with a stock. Doesnt even have a foregrip.

I think he is just saying that its compact like a bull-pup rifle is compact.
Not that the Firefly is a bull-pup rifle.

He's right...

and the truth is, in nerf, we will probably never get a true bullpup unless it is clip loading like the FAR.

But you've at least got to say that it immitates the bullpup ideology in a way with the shape and ergonmics.

if you can pull out the orange obstructor, and put pvc barrels on it, then that could solve the problem. still cant open the gun all the way.

The orange obstructor that you talk about is part of the case, it seemed. It was attached. I'd say that you'd have to cut the case away to completely turret mod it. Plus, there are extensive air restrictors, which include some new obscure method of letting air in that reminds me of air tanks with firing pins. Check everywhere for screws, when opening it, as well, as there was one under the slider in the mav. Also, sometimes you can just pull apart the gun when you don't think that it's all unscrewed.

That organe obctrusction holds the front of the turret. You would have to make a sort of U shaped peace in the front so you can cut some of the orange thign off. I made a quick picture showing this in an older thread about the FF or new line of blasters, I forget wich, just search if you dont get what im saying.

Walmarts in WI don't seem to have them in yet, I checked both in the past 3 days and no luck at either- I'll be calling to check stock tomorrow, but I doubt I'll have any luck. They don't have Fireflies OR Dart Tags. This is bullshit.

Don't feel too bad. In the last week I've checked two Targets, two WalMarts, and a TRU for good measure. Loads of NFs, Mavs, NStrikes, AT2ks, AT3ks, LBBs, SSPBs, and First Shots. No new guns.

Where do you find the airtechs?
Last time I went to Target, the only nerf there was some NFs, mavs, sspbs, and dart refill pacs. Same with Wal-Mart. But I have not checked TRU...

AT2K 2-packs are at Target, 3K 2-packs are at TRU.
