ompa, are you sure? The tubing connects to the bladder, and then from the bladder to the trigger, and on to the green chamber. I don't see anything that would really prove as a release. You're probably right anyways.

The black thing has a spring inside it, which has another disk which I believe seals against the inside of the yellow parts. When it hits the case, the spring is compressed, which lets air out the hole. At least that's how I'm fairly sure how it works. Do feel free to correct me if you have more information. However, if I am correct, and that is how it functions, it basically is an overpressure release valve, releasing air when the pressure becomes too high, in this case when it hits the casing.
