It's just a less bulky way of making a clip system, and it's easy enough that everyone can use it. I know it's been done before, but if the leaf spring works for me, I plan to make another one along with a writeup. The main benefit I see with this clip over other clips I've seen is the lack of shells. Since the brass fits so well in SCH80pvc for me, I don't need to work with o-rings or anything of the sort, which allows the whole thing to be smaller. I seem to only lose maybe 5-10 feet through INITIAL AND ESTIMATED testing. I haven't done any concrete testing yet, as it's still really wet outside. I'm just hoping this should help with the ROF issue many breech guns have, like the Crossbow or Maxshot. Well, not so much an issue, but a small hinderance to some people.

Looks cool when attached to the gun!
But, whats that yellow stuff inbetween the cut pvc and the wood?
Is it glue or something?

It's very, very similar to Boltsniper's, except in, well, ok it functions rather differently, but has the same effect.
I'm making a different version of the actual bolt system itself right now, I should have pictures up later. This one should actually be alot better-looking/functioning. I should finish it up tomorrow, which means writeup probably this weekend or early/mid next week. From looking at the pictures though, it should be mostly self-explanatory.
If you have all the materials, you can build one in about 30 minutes, not counting the drying time for the handle (you need to glue it). Other than that, it's suprisingly easy to make, especially the one pictured.

Anyways, the white barrel is the second barrel version, the third one will be returning to the sch80pvc/17/32 brass combo, because the 3 layers of brass I tried on the second version didn't turn out so hot. It still works, just the action isn't as smooth.
To answer the AT2k paint question: my friend wanted to do a presentation on how to mod an AT2k for his speech class, and asked me to trick out an AT2k for him. So I attached all the little doo-hickies that macho kids like, such as scopes and laser sights and whatnot. So then I painted it; when he was done with the presentation, I just ripped everything off of it, which left multiple holes in the paint. The poor paintjob is also due to me trying to paint with a nearly empty can of spraypaint at 10pm at night before his presentation, since I "forgot" about it until that time. Spraypainting tip: Don't drop a newly painted gun in the grass, and even worse, don't drop it in woodchips.
So far, I have nearly no problems with the barrel system thus far- the only gripe I have had since switching to JB weld, which I now love, is that occasionally when the last dart is being loaded the bolt will hit the little platform beneath it. However, nothing that a little sandpaper won't solve. It'll be solved in time for the writeup of course.

regarding the 17/32" brass, were you using 9/16" stefans? If not what size were you using?

Murphy: All right, get your stupid fucking rope.
Do you mean with an integration or what? Because size doesn't have anything to do with performance...-NerfMonkey

On nerfhq you said you would have the writeup up by Wednesday.
Its Saturday.
Several people including me wish to know how you make your homemade clip design.

Well.. then I guess it didn't work very well, did it?It snaped in-half during the war. Lol
[Not meant to be offensive!]
Gun in half is a similar problem I am encountering while making my own homemade.

And I sure hope this clip deal turns out to be amazing, because it LOOKS amazing!
