I know, I know, why would I do such a thing? Well it just so happens that the rotating system broke, rendering the 6 shots useless. Besides, it looks like it could make a damn sweet loser rifle. Anyway, I was wondering what kind of barrel I should use. What I was thinking was something like a breech crossbow, with a pvc coupler on the gun itself and a barrel with brass nested in pvc, about 10 inches of brass and 8 inches of pvc. Does this make sense, or should I be doing something different?

Same happened with me my rotateing thingy broke so i singles it. I took out all the inthernals except for the stuff I needed. Then made a crayola nested to 10''in of sch 40 pvc it works very well and is my primary now. Mine gets like 90ft maybe more also I put a scope and stock on it here are some pics.

Run when you see this scope flashing in the sunlight

Coupler may not work on this because the barrel is really flimsey like if you hit it to hard on a wall you might ass well just rip it off. The pushing in and pulling out of the coupler will mostlikly weaken it and you will probally have to reglue after each use

I'd just single the same way I'd single a 2k, 8" of brass in pvc and slap a coupler on the tank. Mmmmm, breech loading single.....

And as everyone knows, money makes the world go round. It's also the root of all evil, therefore the world going round is evil, and we should stop the rotation of the planet.

"Run when you see this scope flashing in the sunlight"

If you're that far away you're using a scope, I wont need to run. I can take one step to the left or right and probably dodge your dart.

Fastkill, that At3k is pretty fugly....

But as to the coupler problem, you could take a tiny stub of 1/2 pvc and put it around the place where the air flows out. You'd probably have to put something inside of that as well, but it would be pretty stable.

Something like this

Barrel
Coupler
Piece of PVC
Air hole

The pvc would go over that tiny air hole in which the tank opens to release the pressure. You could probably put some epoxy between the hole and the pvc, which might make it stable enough. Just ideas.

Most of the time I agree with you. I just put a pop gun stock on my At2k last night. It's a fugly pile of duct tape, but it's damn comfortable and it ain't going anywhere. So in general I agree that having it be more comfortable and work better is more useful than having it look nice. I would post a pic, but alas, I have no camera. I could probably take stills on my dad's camcorder.... hmmmm.

I haven't finished it yet, because the plumber's goop is still drying. But if you want to make it extremely stable, this seems like it will work well (again, I'm not sure because it's still drying). First you put a little stub of pvc inside the pvc coupler, so that it is flush with the edge of the coupler. Then you take a small piece of cpvc, the same size as that first piece of pvc, and sand down the outside a little. Then, hammer it into the pvc. This makes it fit almost perfectly over the existing nozzle, so it should be very stable
