Well, guys, as most of you may know I was accepted into the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD this past year. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for superior summer, which is pretty much boot camp. After that I have 4 years of college, and then I will be a commissioned officer in either the US Navy (ensign) or Marine Corps. (2nd Lieutenant), and I will be serving our fair country for a minimum of 5 years on active duty.

I will have no computer access for the entire summer starting tomorrow. Naturally, this means I won't be around the forums much. Once the school year starts, I will have plenty of computer and internet access, but I will still be strapped for time, so I cannot say how productive I may or may not be. I will probably still nerf with some friends on campus, and try to make it to some east coast wars (DCNO's).

So I guess this is a kind of goodbye thread, at least for the next 6 to 8 weeks. I really have enjoyed this community, and have made some good friends along the way. Even in the past few months when I really have been too busy to mod much or really be a heavy contributor, I really came here for the community aspect of the forums. So keep it up this summer, guys, and I expect to see some really cool mods from you guys when I return in the fall!

Please pray for me while I'm away at the Academy this summer. It's a grueling process and I'm gonna need whatever I can get. Thanks again for being a great community to me.

We'll miss you, buddy. Hopefully we'll be able to have wars when/if you come back for various breaks throughout the year. You sometimes remind me of Marty Mcfly if he were on steroids. I wonder what you'll remind me of when you get back.

I wish you the very best of luck. One of my best friends just finished his superior year at one of the academies. He certainly said that it wasn't easy, but he made it through in one piece.

Remember, they're going to want to make you wear ladies' underwear, and you're going to have to accept that, but by no means should you let on that you've accepted it.

Anyone know what he planned on doing in the Navy? Cook, torpedoman, sonar, engineer, pilot?

Since my hotel has internet access today, I can answer this question for you...

I really have no idea, since I don't have to decide until my senior year. Right now I'm thinking about flight (planes or helicopters) or maybe Marine Corps., or maybe even SEALS. I'll keep you guys posted when I happen to decide.

Thanks again for all the prayers and support
