Okay, I'm wondering how you cut PVC and get a straight, precise, even cut? I'm using PVC cutters and they are never straight, it always cuts the barrel at an angle.

So what tool(s) do you use to cut PVC and get a good cut?

I just use cutting shears and then file the ends down till there nice and flat. But I'm sure a boxsaw or whatever is faster than my method.

Tto cut I only use my bandsaw or hacksaw.

Hacksaw. With some practice I can get straight cuts all the time.

I use an electric compound miter saw (not recommended for people who like their fingers, unless they have the tools) with some insane number of teeth or one of my pipe cutters. It all depends on what type (or angle) I need the cut to be.

If you are saying that they do not cut straight, use it more carefully and dont make it too tight, because thats what makes it slip and cut at an angle.

Its good for copper too, and makes this funny edge that is thinner than the rest of the pipe, which I get rid of by using pliars to scrape it off.

Do you see the triangle shaped thing that sticks out from the top of the pipe cutter. Stick that in the end of your copper/brass and twist until the "funny edge" comes off. That's what it's there for.

First of all, PVC cutters take a shit load of time so I just use my jig-saw.

i use a hacksaw in less than 5 seconds and i have a straight cut

I wrap a peice of electrical tape around it wherever I would like to cut, then cut it. Its fool proof.

My pipe-cutters are magical. The single most used tool for my Nerfing.

I cut PVC/CPVC, cut FBR, etc.

They look very cheap, as if they cost 5 bucks, but must be good quality, handed down from a plumber.
