Hi! i'm Dillon. i was in walmart the other day and i found a nightfinder on the shelf. every night my cat is always messing up stuff in my room and it's to dark to see and i'm to freakin lazy to get out of bed! so since this had a light on it, it was the perfect excuse to make my mom buy it. the next day i was shooting birds with it when i felt something on the top of the gun. i looked at it and it said "to prevent injury do not modify darts or dart blaster. so that gave me an idea. i opened it up, stretched the spring, took out that stupid three pronged limiter, and poured a whole bunch of WD-40 down the piston tube. it shoots about 60-70 feet now, but i need something bigger better and relitivly cheap seeing i don't have a job.

any ideas are good! thanks!

Ummm... I might be crazy but I think I read somewhere that you shouldn't put WD-40 into the plunger tube. I think that's becouse it eats away rubber and it will ruin your 0-ring.

I used some veggie oil for my NF, but I've read silicone spray is good too.

I also love the AT2k, so easy to mod, so much performance!

Don't shoot at animals fuckwad!

Why don't you take a look at this:

Your only chance

Search and speak english. It's simple. Seeing as I don't like your ambitions for being on this board, that will be your first and final warning. Next time I see you bust any of those rules and you're history.

Talio.

PS - For the rest of you, the NF is self lubricating. I thought it was applied, but when I inquired with one of the Hasbro people, I was surprised.

A bit contradictory, don't you think?

In relation to your topic, Yes, AT2k or AT3k twin packs are the best bet for you. AT3k twin packs go for about $20. AT2k twin-packs go for about $10. However, I'd say get the AT3k pack.

Dude, use the search function; this place is loaded with stuff on the maverick, but sadly the MAV is prety underwhelming. The ROF is good and they look cool, but they are somewhat troublesome to mod and most mods don't yeild much improvement. The mav is a good gun for fun indoors, but that's about it.

If you can figure out how to use it well, it's a great gun. I use the Maverick even outdoors, and I have beaten teams of two against me using only it without taking on one hit. It is hard to do, but possible to use it effectively even outdoors.

Sorry, I know this is 2 days old but I had to pull you up on it because no-one else did.

They use Pr0n because often, like my own, parents do a search for, you guessed it, in the History of the browser. It just makes it easier to refer to it as Pr0n, saves us from those awkward moments where our parents discover discussion of adult material, PVC and lots of hot glue.

Okay, i went out and got me a Mav! This thing freaking rocks! It shoots about 50 ft. stock. I shot my brother with it in a battle and left a red mark on his neck. The accuracy on this gun is outstanding. I shot a magnet on my fridge from 15 ft. away first shot. Everyone should have one of these as a backup weapon!

So you're saying spraying silicone spray down the plunger tube isn't gonna help?

Whoa. Creepy.

:D   Hahaha. Very witty.

As for a 50 foot Stock Mav, I find it severely hard to believe. Anyway, welcome to the Haven. It looks as if everyone's shown you the ropes. CoC, Search is your friend, yada-yada. 'Tis good to get more people into Nerf.

You streched the spring? Did you temper it/ghetto rig it to keep itself streched, or did you just pull on it? Because if you got it to keep its new shape, I'd really like to know how you did that..

Mav: 50 Feet Stock

 Erm..

I love the maverick as well. It packs quite a punch, and I disagree with the people that say it doesn't qualify for a primary. Its RoF is rather good, and in such a small package it's ideal for someone who wants to move around a lot.

50 foot Stock Mav

A little off topic, but my friend thinks his Maverick gets 45' stock

DarkMills, you seem to be coming along fine. USE AN AT2K!!! If you have two, single barrel one and Quad the other.

Also, if you didn't rig your NF spring to stay stretched, you might want to open up the gun routinely and re-stretch the spring so that the gun's power stays the same. And after a while, you should replace the spring, because stretching it weakens it.

Glad to see a new Nerfer getting on the grid,
NL78
